Why do some people in loev threaten to kill themselves?

In life, most people find that love is the greatest emotion. Why? Because it makes you feel alive. It makes you feel something deeply internal that you know other people won't be able to take away from you...well, unless circumstances change and everything. But still, it's beyond compare. The downside is, nothing truly lasts. We come to this earth bringing nothing and we'll leave it without anything. So love comes and goes. The feeling may remain or it may not. The thing with people trying to kill themselves is either because they want attention or because they couldn't live without the other person. It's VERY immature. Rather than just respecting the other person's decision and giving them an opportunity to be happy, they'd rather want their exes to feel guilty and come back to them. Just so they'd feel alive again. It is very wrong. Usually, only pathetic and pitiful people do this. Or someone really sick. I had a friend who an experience with a person like this before. They did it as a form of emotional blackmail. The things people would do for love.

Yes, it is immature and it is trying to blackmail or manipulate the other person.
