I started buying corporate attires when I was about to graduate from college. When I was still studying I would just settle with tank tops, jeans and slippers but then I have to have high heels, long sleeves and all that so I bought some for myself. They’re costly than my usual outfit prizes but they’re useful whenever it’s needed.

Hi there Ankita!
It all depends upon the position that you are applying for but with the usual office-related work, it is best to wear the classics. It's better to dress on the safe side, to look professional and sleek.
I would recommend slacks, choose the best cut that suits your figure, your body build, preferable in color black. Pair it up with a plain colored, simple blouse, in black or white. If possible, go monochromatic. Just add color using a scarf or a brooch.
You can wear a blazer or not. It should depend upon the weather.

It depends on the position. If it's management then a suit is in order...pants are more popular right now than skirts. If it's not a management position then wearing a nice blouse with dress slacks or a skirt is acceptable. You have to make sure the skirt is not too short and that the heels of your shoes are not too high. You're not trying to look hot or sexy...you're tring to look professional. Also, not too much makeup and very little, if any cologne or perfume.
