For me i would say around 75 yrs because after that u need someone to look after.. and when you have kids, you wouldnt want to burden yourselves on them... they might have their own families and looking after you would be a full time job... but then staying in old homes.. it would be like just waiting to die... when i visit these old homes i feel so sad to look at the seniors.... some of them feel so happy when you speak to them.. and some of them wait for their families to come visit them....

I want to live for a long time. I do not think that I can say how long. However, I am sure about one thing that for whatever time I live, I want to be active and do something for me, my family and my society. If I am not able to do anything then I do not think that my life has any meaning. I want to live a meaningful life. I have seen many people living for say 80-90 years but they are not able to anything and perhaps, they must be praying to the God that they do not want to live anymore. I do not want to enter into that situation atleast on my own. However, I also agree that it is not in our hands as to how long we will live but till the time I live, my life should not be a burden on my family and society and I also wish for that.

I want to live to whatever age my body allows me without life becoming a total bureden, at which pint I will not demand that anybody look after me, I will self-terminate. I have no idea what that age will be, but I'm 64 now, and although my health and quality of life are not what I would wish, there's still some life in the old dog. If I were helthy now, I would probably say 90 or so, my family tends to be long-lived, but in my condition, 75 seems more likely. Lash

For me that would not be a straight answer. It would depend on a few things. I would like to live to a ripe age of 99 if I could still take care of myself. Not have to depend on someone else to do things for me. That is not living to me. If I get to that point I would want to die.

I want to be 125 years old and shoot by a jealous wife. LOL. I used to think that as long as I was healthy I would like to live a long time but in todays world I am not so sure I want to live as long as I did. I am 70 years old and have lived most of my life. I worry for my grandchildren. I have to disagree that at 75 you need looking after. Most of my friends are always on the go. We go places and do things and our kids have been known to complain that they never see us. You don't say how old you are. I think your are young. Enjoy life and don't worry about getting old.

I want to live as long as my partner does. There is no reason for me to go beyond that.

You don't have to buy into the myth that a person is old and needs constant care at any particular age. I know people in their 90s who are still quite active. They continue to drive, play pool, golf, bowl, etc. As long as you have a love for life and enjoy doing things and have a youthful attitude, life can be a joy. It's the "woe is me" people who get old. I want to be alive when Jesus comes again.

I would like to live so long as I am useful to and not a burden for anyone. If my health permits and I am active and I can pursue my hobbies- by that I mean what I always wanted to but never found the time or opportunity to do- I get to do effectively then I would love to be alive up to that time. It may be 75 years or 845 years.

Hi, I have no such wants. Its all god's decision, and are already pre-fixed. So, if at all i would say, i may opt for 100:) Just to hit a century... But i give importance to quality of living rather than quantity of living, :) Take care

Me? About 75-80, that is ok. As you say, until that age is enough, to give burden to my future children is too terrible. ^0^ Before that, I'd better choose to go (to the other world)(laughing)

Well, sometimes I got the same thoughts like you do.But I didn't think about this too much,I think it's a natural thing, you can't control it.and you will never know the truly thoughts when you really come to that age.

I want to live as long as my God wants me to. Plus, I do think I would make a pretty fabulous old lady, how ever over-the-hill I may be. (:

75 is young, now. Most people live into their 80's , at least. Medical care has come such a long way that we can expect to live longer. but, if I were in poor health, I would not want to live much longer that 75, either.

Well, I'd like to live as long as I can, be it up in the 70's or 80's maybe even 90. I know what you mean about nursing homes, I can't stand those places, I had to put my grandmother in one and it was so sad, she didn't want to be there, but she couldn't get around anymore, and was bedridden and it was getting hard for me to take care of her at home by myself. I vowed to never ever, have to put another person in one again, I told my mom I wouldn't do it to her, she can come live with me, and I'll take care of her. My husband and I don't have any children, and we said that we would take care of each other as long as we can, without having to go to a old folks home, those places are so sad. I have an aunt that is one now, and its sad to go see her because there are others in there that don't have any family to come see them, and its true, when you talk to them they are happy that somebody actually said Hi to them.

The way I feel at present, I want to live for a really long time yet. There is a lot I still want to do and my daughter is only seven so I would like to be around to see her as an adult. I don't mind how old I get unless I will have to rely on other people to take care of me. How long your life is going to be is one of the things in this life that we can't control. It is a good idea to make the very best out of each and every day and spread as much fun and love as we can; that we can definitely control.

I would like to live to a "ripe old age". It can be any age that the Lord sees fit. However, I would like to see my grandchildren and their children My mother is now 79 years old and she is doing fine - she does every and is independent. She was actively employed until the age of 70 years old. I am 54 years and I am in good health and I look the picture of good health. I enjoy life, I love peolpe I enjoy challenges and I am actively involved in my church and my work as a teacher and insurance Agent. I see old age has a blessing especially if you plan for it. When one is old and can mento others and is in good health your old age becomes a means to an end. I am preparing for this inevitable so I am trying to have some young friends and make a family for myself, because I am from a a small family. I have only one sister and i have only two sons and my husband. I am somewhat positive about my future because I leave this to my Lord. This not saying that there is not a gloomy side to old age. By the way are you preparing for this aspect of life? What are some things you do to prepare, my lotters?

i don't know upto how many years i will live on this earth. i can live on earth till god permits. mostly i want to live fo 100 years .but i know that my health will not permit for 100 years. now i am 35 and i want to live for 25 years more, till my grand children's marraige time. hope i will live upto that age. my desire is to live upto 65years only as i don;t want to depend on others in my old age.now a days all are throwing away in oldage homes and i don;t want to join in that old age homes. so will ask god to take me to him after 65 years of my age.
