I've suffered with severe asthma my whole life! There's no doubt that my lungs are shot. For as long as I can remember, I've used my inhaler a dozen times every day. I'm sure my lungs are scarred from every puff I've taken, it just doesn't feel safe.
I recently read a book and studied a little on the subject of medicines, the F.D.A and and drug companies. You may be familiar with this subject, (one medicine helps with one problem but in the long term causes another problem so we will buy some more medicine for our new problem). I believe this to be the truth because I fell victim to it. I took some asthma medication for a while, and eventually developed acid reflex, which is mentioned in some of the things I've read. It's a little scary, so I try never to use any medication. Unfortunately, those of you with asthma know how difficult it is never to use your inhaler. I really don't want to use it, but I know that's not going to happen. BUT, I was wondering if there was any alternative I could use to prevent an attack and to help during an attack. I would love to find alternatives that will totally keep me from having to use my inhaler, but if there was anything to help me out so I don't have to totally and completely depend on it, that will be great! Heck, if you have a cure for asthma I would love to hear about that. But I'm pretty sure there's not yet a cure =( So anything will help =)

First of all, I would like to tell you that I so sorry to hear about your problem. I know how scary this problem is as my also suffered such attacks. She used inhaler and I must say it is not a cure. In fact, allopathy rarely provides cure for chronic diseases like asthma, piles etc. I believe in Homoeopathy and found that it cures most of the problems. I have a few other therapies for you and I am sure you will get rid of your asthma. First you start with homoeopathy, if it does not work for you I will tell you other ways around.

I had asthma for years and used to be glued to my rescue inhaler. My doc put me on advair and I have been fine. now and then when I catch a cold and am short of breath, my doc has advised me to use my rescue twice a day and continue with advair. I have not had any problems. My only reservation with advair, Too expensive.
