I allways give out best responses. Once in a while I check all my unresolved discussions and for the ones that are possible choose a best response. Unfortunatly I also have 3 year old unresolved discussions that still have not a single response.
I did get some best responses denoted to myself over the last couple of years. Not regularly, but every single one is welcome. I feel handing out a best response is one of the things we can do here in mylot to motivate each other and show others that we appreciate their imput. After all, mylot wouldn't be in bussiness if we stopped discussing. We need each other

That's ok, you will learn from every post you make and every reply you get. Be sure to check out the FAQ every once in a while aswell; I know I got pretty lost when the whole layout changed, two new features where added, etc. I've been around for three years now (or perhaps even longer) and I still learn new stuff about mylot every day I post here. Take care!

my mistake... it doesn't close, it gets resolved and if there is no best answer, it's in the section of unresolved.

Hi srik, I don’t create more discussions if to compare to those productive users here. I have started slightly more than 80 discussions only so far. I found it was rather difficult for me to choose a best response if the discussion received lots of responses for I had to take extra time reading and comparing again some of them which were respective good in quality.
Since then I preferred to pick a best response after a week or so after posting a new discussion. You know very often we would still receive more responses after some time. So I think it is much easier to pick an ideal one earlier. Sometimes we would come across a desirable one with points that hit the nail right on the head, I then would pick it as the BR straight away. Anyway I still have 5 unresolved discussions in the list waiting for me to solve.
Happy posting and take care.

I choose a best response whenever the topic is already discussed fully and is not current anymore like a site losing etc. I am currently solving some of my unresolved discussions (just like cleaning the house) before the new year.
I feel lucky to be chosen a couple of times already for giving the best response. I think i just have some good friends
Anyways i wish you could have a best response someday (hopefully it would be one from my started discussions) and Happy holidays. ![](/Content/images/emotes/thumbup.gif)

I actually did not chose a best response yet for any of my discussions. I'm planning to soon but I'm always reluctant because you never know if someone else is going to come and respond. I kind of have an idea of which responses I received that I would choose as the best responses though. It's hard to decide which answers are "best" sometimes.

I'm not sure. I don't think so but I could be wrong.

it is our duty to choose a best response to all of our started discussions. we have different timeframes for that though. there are others around here whom i have noticed to resolve their discussions in just a matter of three days. for me, it runs to something like a week after having been posted.
so take your time, srik11. unless the mylot rules give us a prescription as per the timeframe to resolve all of our discussions, there is no pressure in that one.
