There was an audio tape of him talking about it... I think it was pretty suspicious, but who knows. The thing that bothers me most is his cocky attitude. He just carries himself, and talks in a way that comes off as 'better than everyone else'... maybe we'll never know what really went on.
I don't necessarily think he makes Obama look bad, but I do feel this is another instance where a lot of people can suspect there are secrets within government, and officials don't always share the whole truth with us..... Unfortunately, this is just how politics always have been and always will be - although it doesn't seem right.

Obama has been pretty good about keeping him and his staff a distance from the Governor. To be honest, I doubt he's really wrapped up in all of this anyway. Just a thought.

No I don't. what I feel is that Oboma's nay sayers will use anything they can come up with to discredit him. But he seems to be well aware of this and can handle it.
I hope so there is enough trouble for him to try to fix

So far no legal action has been taken against the governor. Therefore he still has all the power that office offers. As far as a connection, who knows what is really on those tapes. We are only allowed snippets and enticing teases. Until everything is disclosed, who knows? It is aggravating on so many levels. As far as contact it is only natural that Obama would want to know who fills his Senate seat. Most people would be naturally curious about this. So, I expect some kind of contact between the two. Don't get me wrong, Obama did make a mistake on coming out and initially denying the contact. Right now, it is not hurting him but it may in the future. When people take a look back on this mess. I can almost guarantee that this will come out in the 2012 election as some sort of commercial. So I think it will be a very long time before anyone sees the last of this controversy.

I don't think he makes Obama look bad, but I do think that Emmanual was a bad choice and I do think that Emmanual had discussions that while not illegal or even really unethical, could be twisted.
I really wish that Obama would reconsider his choice of Emmanual!
As for the guilt or innocence of the Governor? Who really knows, really. Certainly there is something there but what, how much, I don't think we know yet. This is the problem with television, everything gets vetted in the media before it ever gets to trial. We determine the guilt or innocence of individuals based on slim facts and spin. No more "guilty until proven innocent" for us, no way. Now we have pollute the jury pool as quickly as possible and on a national level so it is impossible to find an untainted juror anywhere. The more high profile the case the more media attention and the more spin.
Not defending the Gov, just looking at the issue pragmatically. He has a very slim chance at defending himself.

I think the media overhyped any connection between Obama and Blagojevich, especially when you consider that Fitzgerald went out of his way to point out repeatedly that there was no evidence whatsoever of any wrongdoing on his part. How often did Hannity repeat that there were 41 separate mentions of Obama in the transcripts that were released with the indictment - without mentioning that not only were they not incriminating, some of them were the exact opposite? How many "news hosts" speculated on why Obama was delaying the release of his camp's report about contact between his people and the governor's when even the US attorney made it clear that he had asked Obama to delay the release until at least the 22nd? Speculation sells stories and catches viewers. Seriously - how many of us would care about this story if it didn't involve our president-elect?

I think anyone you're associated with who proceeds to act poorly, and God knows that Blagojevich did (trying to sell the Senate seat of all the nerve), makes you look guilty by association even if you have nothing to do with their illegal (in this case) or untoward activities. My mother used to say and, in fact, still says if she gets mad enough, "If you run with the wolves, you howl with them". Both my cousins and apparently Barack Obama need to pick better friends.

I have no idea if Blagojevich makes Obama look bad, but you have to consider that the latter and his family sat for years listening to a black racist preacher and did not say a word, did not walk off with his family and join another black church, why he had a friendship with a known domestic terrorist rabble rouser gone legit, etc.
So the Illinois Governor would not make Obama look bad since the latter had already a shady past to begin with.
And the media was the one who wanted Obama in because he was black and because he was liberal like them. I mean I never saw a president elect treated so much like a demigod then Obama was. If there is any footage, it is probably been taken off. You might have to go to Youtube to find out.
Amyway, I am of the opinion that when you find out what kind of president you elected, you will ask why?

No I don't. I think Rod Blagojevich makes Rod Blagojevich look bad. It just happens to be Obamas Senate seat. That is all. The media is just like a dog with a bone. It's been broadcast all over.

So far there's been no direct evidence against Obama. It's unfortunate, but too many in the media (in my opinion) care more about manipulating our thinking than in reporting the facts.
