What's in a name!.........
Many a times people call us by our name or sometimes by nick name.At some places calling by name is considered to be a good gesture and sometimes not.
Whatever may the place or time sometimes it hurts when somebody forgets our name and calls us by some other name.
have you ever into such a situation ?
By the way by what name do you like yourself to be called ?

Depends on what your nickname is. If it's something flattering like Sexiest Man on Earth or Brainiac(well,I'm not sure about that one),then yeah. But it doesn't feel good if somebody remembers a stupid kindergarten or elementary school name from those times when you used to wet your pants... lol

I prefer my nickname simply because most people think it is my real name. People call me "Chad" even though it is not my name. My parents have called me that since birth and it has stuck. I am not really sure how it ever became my "name".

WEll..... I have two names.. and one nickname "snuggle bunny".. other than "hey you" which I also answer to! lol!
my name is Rita.. and my native American name is Stormy... I get called both, by different people.. it used to be that only family called me Stormy but I have a few friends that call me that now. my dad always calls me snuggle bunny..( he has called me that since I was a kid)
I don't really have a preference.. anything is fine :)

I don't really mind to be honest. I do have a nickname and most people use it when they are calling me mainly because it is much easier to say than my full name. I am not too fussed as long as the person is comfortable saying my nickname or my full name.

Yes, I prefer to be called by my nickname. I worked at a place for 5 years and everyone called my by a variation of my nickname. I hated it. I kept trying to tell them that it bothered me. They persisted in calling me by the wrong nickname. I am glad I don't work there anymore. But the down side is, I have to find a new job soon.

I want to be called with my real name, I hate my nickname (which is taken from my name of course), when people close to me call me that name I wanted to shout and scream.I dont know why but if there's a chance to choose a new name then I will really choose different name.

i like to be called by my nickname only at my home as my parents normally call me by my nickname only but i dont prefer if they call me by my nick name when we are out at someone else's place as then everyone starts calling you by your nick name only which i dont prefer.

No I dont like no one to call me by my nick name. My nick name is not bad or awful, but i would like my friends and family to call me by my first name. When I was growing up my friends would call me by my nickname at school, and was so embarrased.
