hi, everyone here . some companies have a policy banning employees from using mobile phones at work . Do you think this is a good thing ?
And when you at work , when your mobile phone is ringing , and do you ignore the call ? And i always put my mobile phone on silent and if i at work , if it birates i will take the call outside . what about you ? can you share the opinion about the mobile phone at the work ?

Hi there cindy123123!
I personally think that it depends on the nature of the job of the persons involved. I have encountered a lot of people who tend to be lazier and less responsible just because they keep sending SMS while at work. Sometimes, they also answer calls on their mobile phones while they are supposed to be busy with their tasks.
Companies can't totally ban their employees from bringing mobile phones at work but they can definitely do something to regulate the use of these phones.

I think it depends on what kind of work you do. If you are in customer service where you are dealing with the public your phone should be out of sight and on vibrate. There is nothing more annoying than to have someone taking care of you and they are on the phone chatting.I myself have walked out of places because the person taking care of me was talking to a friend. When you are working your employers are paying you to work for them not talk on the phone. Most people in the repair business carry phones to take business calls which is an entirely different matter.
