Plain and simple, I need answers! I have a family member who is a Composer and Painter who REALLY needs to sell his stuff so that he can quit his AWFUL day job. Right now I'm unemployed so my mission is to help him! Can you help me help him please? Any tips about promoting/selling art/music, any tips on where I should post these questions, any tips on any related stuff will be IMMENSELY appreciated! Thanks a BUNCH :) Brian

I'm in the same boat being a songwriter myself. Usually, whenever I copyright something I get a letter from Amerecord saying they are looking for songwriters. they bill themselves as an American Recording Company in Hollywood. You could give them a try. I'm not sure what they pay, whether its just royalties. IM me and I'll give you their address. As far as the art I have seen art auctioned on ebay. That may be a possibility. Good luck!

Hmm really!? I dunno if he's actually done this..he's really looking into getting into the film industry writing music for films and theatres and stuff (he's a pianist so its a pretty good avenue to go no?) I'll give it a try thanks for the response!
