Is the grass always greener on the other side?

I came across this sentence: I often wonderif life is easier for other people or are they just better at faking it?
I think there is much truth in this, I often think other people seem to have a better life, more/better friends, nice boy- or girlfriends, good scores at school and so on. But if you get to know them better, you see they aren't perfect, and might be just as jealous for your blessings in life as you are for theirs.
What are your thoughts on reading this?

No one's life is perfect and nothing is copy book. We have to draw the line somewhere for there is no end to reaching high. we have to understand our happiness and live with the imperfections. Life is but living the imperfections, isn't it!

Life has a few troubles in stock for everyone unless you happened to be born Paris Hilton and even then...
Many times we are just not well-informed enough and we don't know what goes on in other people's hearts. Also, the distribution of the goodies is not always fair if you put it this way. It is human nature to wish for something they don't have and not appreciate hwat they already own. A mundane example would be that people with curly hair wish it was straight and vice versa
When I feel like pitying myself or envying someone it usually helps to think of those less fortunate. If you were born healthy and with some brains it's up to you to get what you want, right?

I agree with you, life isn't always as it appears to others. I read a comment somewhere from some super model (you can tell how much I was paying attention) who was complaining about being lonely and never getting asked out because men were intimidated by her looks. It's hard to feel sorry for someone like that, who you perceive to have such a fabulous life, but the reality oftentimes doesn't match the fantasy. I know quite a few people in my area who seem to have such great lives on the outside but they have personal and family struggles just like everyone else.
