I am finding that as I get older I sleep less. I used to sleep between 7 and 9 hours. Now I sleep 5-6. Do any of you find this to be the case?

Also I think when younger we had so much to do that we just didnt think about naps.
I know now if I have a ful day of doing and running that I am really sleepy when time to set and watchtv I do dose off lol

I do not get to sleep more than five hours. It is very exhaustive schedule that I carry on. The days, when I sleep more, I find it very relaxed and energetic. I think this should be given my new year's top priority. A balance between work and rest.

the professionals say that happens to older people but with me because of my fibromyalgia, I do not sleep well so it is very hard to tell, I am tired all the time.

Hey celtic~I am lucky if I get even 5 full hours of sleep. I have
so much trouble falling asleep and staying asleep. I have insomnia
and I tend to just let myself stay awake instead of forcing myself
to try to fall asleep when I know that I can't. I end up staying
awake until the early morning sometimes. And then I sleep maybe
3 hours total and I'm awake and tired all day. At least I now have
mylot when I can't fall asleep!

Yes definitely. Even just a few years ago, I could sleep through the whole night for a total of 8 hours or so, but I now struggle to even get 6 hours sometimes. Mainly because I find it hard to actually get to sleep in the first place and also because I sometimes find myself waking up too early and then struggling to get back to sleep. I guess that it is because we have more things on our minds the older that we get and we tend to think about all of these things whilst we are going to bed at night!
