Well, we are nine children in the family and I am the youngest. I have 2 brothers and 6 sisters. All of us already have our own family. I am the one who got married last.
It is really happy to have a big family. There is always someone who can help you. Ofcourse, arguments and disagreements are inevitable. But we are lucky to have a good father who is always there to stand in the middle and fix things up.

I only have one sibling, an older sister. But I haven't seen her in some years as she has broken all ties with our mom's side of the family when she and our mom had a falling out back when we were teenagers. Though she and I were never really close anyway, so I learned to deal with it from an early age.

Been there, done that. I have invited my sister over before during special occasions, like my baby shower and birthday parties, but she never came. That is, until back in 2001 when she came to my boys' birthday party. I was so surprised to see her and went up to say hello, but she just snubbed me like she used to. Why she would so this, I don't know. I was always willing to get along with her when we were growing up. She never liked me and I've learned to live with that.
I'm sorry, but I'm not going to force someone to my friend. If she is willing, then great. If not, I'm not going to cry about it. It's her choice.

I have 2 sisters and one brother. I am the oldest of 3. The one sister is a 1/2 sibling. She is older. But we don't acknowledge that. All are treated equally.

That's great everyone is treated equally in your family. I wish it was that way when I was small (see my post), you are fortunate :)

I never saw the need to be married. The only reason I got married is because i wanted children and my EX!!! said he didn't want to have kids unless he was married. Turns out he didn't want kids or to be married, but that is another story. I am and have always been very independent and didn't see the need for the piece of paper I guess!!

We are seven siblings, 4 girls and 3 boys, I'm the middle one. We have strong relationship in our family, I was grow in a farm so I'm Amazon girl, lol, but my fiance call me an island girl because our place is one of the small island in Philippines... Being have a big family are so good, even we always fighting when we are young for the duty on our house, like washing plate, our cloths, cleaning our house, cook or even in small things, but when I remember that it was fun, specially when I remember, me and my sister fight against who's wash the dishes that use for lunch, so I'm the younger so I'm the one who follow, but before I do that I throw water in my sister face and she do same as what i do, then my oldest sister came from outside of our house and saw we in that scene, ended we got pinch from our oldest sister..lol.. Those memories are my real treasure in my life.. Happy new year

I can easily agree with you a big family is a happy family. We are 6 children, 3 boys and 3 girls.
As you have mentioned so you have many brothers and sisters that can offer advices.
I am the fifth child and we are all over 25 years. Believe me I would never wish to change it, I just love my family as much as I love my children.

All of us know that nothing is more pleasant in this world than to be among caring brothers and sisters. And also in the same way, nothing is more problmatic in this world than to be among selfish brothers and sisters! It varies from place to place as well as from persons to persons. Anyway, brothers and sisers are integral parts of families all the times.
I myself have two brothers and two sisters. All of they are younger to me. Ours parent family is a medium size family, but we brothers are residing at different places with our families for our work. Our two sisters have been married and with their families.
Thanks for this nice discussion Marose and have a good day!

I come from a family where there are two boys and two girls. I was the youngest child for thirteen years and then my baby brother came. Since I was the youngest, I became very close to my little brother. My family is kind of angry with him because he got married and his wife seems to have separated him from his family. I know it is not entirely her fault, but my brother does what she wants. they moved to another state. I have only seen my nephew one time, he is now three years old. I am the only family that keeps in touch with him by telephone, maybe one day he will open his eyes and realize that his family misses him and loves him. He did not even come to visit my mother when she was seriously ill in the hospital, he said he didn't know she was in the hospital, but if he kept in touch more he would know what is going on with the family. My father was one of thirteen children.

I hope you resolve that issue. Well, even though all of us have our own families now, we still find time to meet and get together especially on family occassions. Just this Christmas, most of us were in our parents' house to celebrate the season.

Wow, you have such a big family! There must be a lot of fun during the festivals.
I'm the middle child of my parents. I have an elder sister and a younger brother. My brother is studying in Australia now. And i'm married this year, so normally only left my sister accompany my parents. But now my husband and i are back to my hometown because i'm pregnant and want to give birth here.
Happy mylotting and have a nice day!

I'm only child. I've never really wanted brothers and sisters, though. I liked being an only. I always find it interesting when people have big families, because it's been just me and my mother.
