I am a Rachel Ray fan. I watch all her shows when I can, and I would love to have her cookware set even though orange is not my favorite color. Well before Christmas I was talking to my son's fiance who was also a Rachel Ray fan, and I decided to get her a Rachel Ray cookbook, and since my daughter-in-law was allergic to a lot of things, decided to get the Rachel Ray Big Orange Book that has recipes for people with allergies as well as the regular ones, vegetarian, etc.
So I handed them their cookbooks for Christmas and guess what I got from my son's fiance? Yes, the Rachel Ray Big Orange Book.
As I said in the intro, great minds think alike. Oh and we also got a coffee grinder, so we have two coffee grinders now.
Anything like that happen to you?

I used to be a big fan but now I seldom watch her show. I think she is a great cook and I enjoy watching her cooking but I do not like her as a second rate talk show hostess. IMO she comes across as phony in her interviews. She should stick to cooking not a Oprah or Ellen wannabe. Her recipes are really great because she does not get to fancy she can make a great meal out of almost anything.

Never liked Oprah or Ellen. I mean I used to watch Oprah until she changed and became a new age guru and Ellen seems too effervescent for me. I like Rachel's cooking, and those human tests as well as stump the Rach. I do not think she is a wannabee. I think you like Oprah and Ellen because you agree with their world's philosophy. I do not.

Well I think you need to read my comment before you tell me what I think!! No where did I say I liked Oprah or Ellen!! I do not watch them either!

It was just that you gave the idea that you did. You should have said something like Oprah and Ellen are bad and Rachel should at least not try be with them, but you left things unsaid.

That is funny!! I am sure both of you will get some good use out of it! lol My mom and I think alot alike. We cook the same meals, and do alot of the same things. It is so strange.

Trouble is that lots of the stuff in the recipes my husband says, "You don't need it," I guess I will have a Rachel RAy Day and say "but I do need some !" Hmm I wonder when her birthday is? (Rachel Ray, I mean.)

Yea..same thing happened to my hubby and his step mother...One of their gifts for each other was a box of their favorite drink with 2 glasses...We were laughing really.....I guess they just know what to pick for each other..LOL![/i]

I can see this happening but to be absolutely honest I have never heard of anyone having this happen. I think it's quite a coincidence all right. Maybe this is a sign that you and your sons' fiance will get along just fine.

I enjoy watching her show.
I like watching her cook meals and give stuff to people.
I think she is a very kind lady.

Actually it did.. I had been saying for a few months that I was going to dye my hair red again and my mom dyes hers red on occasin also. Well this year since I thought I would get things she wanted or needed I would get her knee highs she needed,a box of red hair dye and a few other things and guess what. One of her gifts to me was a box of red hair dye,
and my sister had also just dyed her hair red which we didn't find out till Christmas so now we will all have red hair..lol

I don't know who Rachel Ray is but that's funny you and your son's fiance think the same about christmas gifts LOL are these the gifts that rachel ray recommends on her show though? because that could be why
