We usually prepare a lot of round shape fruits for new year to symbolize money and prosperity. We also prepare something sweet and something sticky so that when blessings come they won't easily go away. Funny it may sound but as what they have said there is no harm in believing such. So what food will you be preparing for the new year?

I spent my New Year alone and so before that I basically do not know what to do. But I managed to eat well and got tipsy – all by myself. Hehehe..
After an evening meal, I managed to go home and watch the fireworks. And that’s all about it.

We will have pork and sauerkraut for new years. I was raised that eating sauerkraut on the new years brings you luck. My mom always said out with the old and in with the new. LOL From my experience sauerkraut certainly cleans you out. I don't know about the luck part though but it is a family tradition.

I see, thank you for sharing with us your tradition. It is good that I have known one. I really look forward to making some food for the family this new year. My husband will be helping me out with that since we are expecting visitors too. It will be fun. Cheers to good luck and good tradition. Happy New Year!

Wow! That's so nice of you to be preparing food for a party. Is it going to be a big or small party? Cooking is an exciting activity for me. I am now planning on what to make for the new year. It would just be for the family but I want to prepare something special for all of us.
