They say prayers can move mountains, how true is it on your life? I am not a very religious man but i pray a lot. I always asked for His guidance & blessing through prayers in everything i do. And it really helped me to to make it through during tough times. Others may think it is useless but i stand firm on my belief to it. How about you? Do you believed in the power of prayers? Do you have an answered prayer experiences that you can share? Make testimonials here. :P

When I was in nursing school I did a paper on the power of prayer. There was as study done with two groups of patients, the patients had almost the same diagnosis and around the same age. Group A got prayer over every day ~ several times a day. Group B did not get prayers. Now both groups of people did not know they where in the study so they did not know they where being prayed over. Group A who was prayed over got better faster and seemed to be a lot happier then Group B. The patients who where picked where a mix of different religions and/or no religion at all. To me this study shows the there is healing power in prayer even if the person does not know they are being prayed for.

OOh thats, great but maybe much better if they were all prayed over after the study, and the best for them to know they were being prayed over for them to have a strengthened faith.

I think I posted these things- examples of answered prayers - elsewhere in some other thread. I believe in the power of prayer. Especially in cases where other than prayer there is nothing else you can do. This especially true of people close to you, when they afflicted with some ailment/disease which practically has no cure medically. The unbearable suffering of the person and the impossibility of actionable strategies, will lead one to Prayer. Prayers as I had once expressed in our religion takes the shape of Mantras and their repetition for predetermined counts. I had once prayed for the "cure" of a cancerous person who had begun a chemoor radiation therapy. It was some twenty years ago. It worked. More recently my brother and I joined forces and prayed for the health of my sister in law. It seems to be working. There is improvement in her life. We have prayed for the attainment of certain goals for our nephew(my sister's son. It worked and he got a job where he is reasonably pleased. There have been instances of failed prayers. I happened to pray for the life of my colleague's son who was in coma after he had a head injury. But the boy did not survive. But I had the inkling on the fourth day of my prayers. My wife who had joined in with her Reiki efforts also had the premonitions and both of completed our "Commitment" but fully in the know that this is not going to work.

I do think prayers work sometimes. But god is very busy and he probally gets millions of prayers everyday and he probally dosnt have time to answer a lot of our prayers no matter how bad it is since im sure there are people with worse problems then what where praying for.

god cares for everyone equally and is never too busy for anyone. he longs for us to go to him in prayer in fact. just because we may not get what we want doesnt mean he didnt answer us because he knows whats it best for us and maybe that wasnt what was best for us.

just remember that somethimes the anwer to the prayer is "no". you won't like to hear "no" but sometimes that is the answer to the prayer. Give Him control over yourlife and the reward in the peace of it is profound. Don't bargain or make promises you may or may not keep. Do your best, spread love and positivity and charity, ask for Him to guide you and tell him that you would really like (insert desire here) and if it is right that it should happen according to His plan, please let it be so. If it is not right, submit to Hill will and you will get what you need, evenif it is not what you want.

Prayer can improve your personal life if you believe in it. If you don’t believe in the power of prayer, you will not benefit from it.True prayer is not begging or beseeching, it is right knowing. It is not a matter of trying to make something happen, but of becoming aware of that which already is. It is not a time to say “Please”, but to say “Thank You”. It is a matter of attaining a state of mind that permits divine action to express itself in us and through us. It is a form of recognition of God’s perfecting action and our surrender to it. It is true that prayer changes things but only because prayer changes us. Divine order does not need to be altered. We must make the adjustment if things are going to be different. Effective prayer changes our way of thinking and feeling. It opens us to new ideas and new points of view which lead to self improvement. Prayer raises us to another level, it teaches us that we are not meant to yield to our weaknesses, but to overcome them. Self improvement is life’s main purpose. The law of life tells us that we cannot stand still. We must grow. We must keep improving ourselves. That is life’s main issue. All of life’s experiences are for the purpose of improving ourselves ;)

Well, i don't pray all the time. I used to pray, but I only said the same prayers and I figured that praying isn't about thanking God for the same things every day. SO I just pray when I have something new to say to Him. Anyway, I'm not the most devout person,so I wouldn't know if prayers were effective or not. I think it's just more about believing in a higher power and trusting that things will be okay.

I do believe in prayers. The last time I can htink of that my prayer got answered was when my husband and i were trying to get pregnant. I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy four months ago. God has reasons for not answering prayers. Whatever is meant to be he will make happen and what is not he wont. Have you ever heard that song "unanswered prayers"? It is a really good song and it is talking about how some of Gods freatest gifts are unanswered prayers. It is really true.

The answer is simply no.. I don't think so prayer is gonna help out.. It is just the old belief of people which is followed by each and every generations.. Some time by prayer our wishes come true.. The reason for it is not the power of prayer.. Its just mere coincidence.. Don't believe in these prayers and other type of non sense.. Just believe in hard work.. tat's it man!!

i do believe in prayer. i also think people spend plenty of time praying at times but not enough time waiting and listening for answers. and even if they do hear the answers it may be that god is asking them to do something they dont want to so they ignore it. So sometimes we need to obey and help ourselves out too. we cant just sit back dormant and expect a miracle if that is not god will. We have to act on what he is telling us to do in order for our lives to work out like he intends.

This has been heard by many a lot of times yet I still want to reiterate that indeeed, prayers can move mountains... I believe in the power of prayers.. i firmly deem it true that they help a lot especially in momemnts when we people feel helpless and have nowhere to run to.., I have known a lot of friends who find prayers tiring and non-sense yet still learned to settle doing so in thir most down times... Some even say things never happen overnight, but for me they can.. and that is through prayers!

I am not a very religious person. I believe in God and everything and try to live my life "right". I do though pray at least twice a day, and thank God for helping me through the day and what it may hold. I also pray a lot more for guidance if I'm at a crossroads or need extra comfort. I do believe in the power of prayer.

I believe that prayers can be answered if god see's the need be for it. I have had some pretty seriouse ones that I prayed for that god has seen through and answered them. I had a seriouse situation that had to do with me and a family member and things were pretty bad to say the least. I just couldn't understand why it was happening I was so confused and angry. Once I fineally got a grip on things I sat down and fineally prayed and handed all things over to god asking him to do what he thought was right. I thought he wasn't even hearing me for things didn't seem to get any better. After 6 months I started to see a turn for the better and knew that he had heard me that he was doing something about it and I thanked him for it and from there he con't to make things even better. Where it all stands now is like someone handed me the powerball money with out me even knowing I won I am amazed what he has done. So yes I do believe that god will answer prayers for he know's how to care for what belongs to him.

Hello xtian04, just like you i believe in the power of prayers. I have been in trouble several times but when i pray and ask Him for help and guidance whatever troubles me are answered. I pray may it be for thanksgiving or i need guidance. Praying helps a lot. Keep on believing for the power of prayer and your faith in Him will help you. I can't make specific experiences for i had a lot.

I do believed in the power of prayers, countless answered prayers I experienced and I believed prayers are being answered when you say it with faith. Prayers are being answered when you believe and you don't do things that unpleasing to God. Why do El Shaddai members and participants keep on going back attending their Saturday appointment? Their experiencing answered prayers, that done by their great faith. Why others are wondering why they keep on praying but they were not answered they maybe have done something unpleasant or they may lack faith. Not all my prayers are being answered too but mostly are and I believe my other prayers will be answered some other time.

There is some magical power in prayers, I believe in them. They give us strengths and every time when a person prays: he speaks with his soul and inner mind. Prayers helps us to focus on the most important things in our lives: health, wealth, family, happiness, well-being of people we care about, etc. Lately I have been praying a lot, maybe I do hope to find the inner strengths to get over the problems and troubles that are crushing down on me.
