i love milk tea! The best that i have tasted was in a small shop in Kuala Lumpur
I have tried so many times to replicate this tea at home but so far i have not succeeded! I use the gold lipton tea and then add 2 teaspoons of condensed milk. It still tastes good but does not compare to the one in the shop. Does anybody have a good recipe? what type of tea should i use?

There's a great tasting one from those International brand coffees...but it's called Chai Tea....it's the tea, milk and a lot of different spices..the only problem is that it's loaded with preservatives and chemical crap...LOL...
Oh Oh Oh...just looked and found this website...has a variety of Chai Tea recipes...seems you need black tea for the basic tea

I always put spices in mine: ginger, cardamon, cinnamon, cloves, and others. I use 1/3 milk, 1/3 decaf black tea (or roibus!), and because I like it icy, 1/3 ice and mix in a blender with the spices and a little honey or agave syrup to sweeten it. Mmmmm, I love milk tea, too.

Hi katemeow, I think I know the secret to that tasty milk tea you were mentioning.
The secret there is How long you'l b boiling the tea, the more time you leave it boiling, the stronger the tea becomes, Prepare it this way:
In a kettle with say,4 cups of water with 3 bags of Tea(Lipton is the best) plus 1/4 cups of brown sugar let it boil, and keep it boiling, add a pinch of cardimom,(cardimom with its minty flavor really makes tea more tastier) As you see thetea is dark brown, the darkess the better(the tastier) Then in a cup just add say one spoonful of powdered milk. Bear Brand , alaska or other brand can do, maybe if you want to add a little more than the 1 tsp. you can do it. Try it, And please let me know if that is the taste you are looking for.
