Do u know about LORD JAGANNATH of india??

Lord jagannath - jagannath means the lord of the world. He is worshiped in the jagannath temple ,puri,india.

The jagannath temple in puri,a small town in eastern India has lord jagannath being worshiped in it. The word jagannath means 'the lord of the world' . This temple is famous for the Chariot festival that is celebrated around the month of march. It attracts devotees all around the world, more than 12 lakh in number every year. It is believed that if u touch the chariot,ur soul will achieve enlightenment. Do u know about the lord??

yes i have been to puri several times and twice during rath yatra.i have not had the privilege of getting to touch the chariot,with tremendous rush kept myself a little away in fear of a stampede.but its a holy feeling to be there.

Yes, I have been to Puri and visited the Jagannath Temple. Apart from the grandeur of the temple, what I found amazing is the way the flag is lowered every evening. It just has to be seen to be believed that it is humanly possible to climb so high without any aid, change the flags and come down just the same way. However, I could not understand why you said the chariot festival is held in March? I knew that the Chariot Festival of Rathyatra is held in the month of July during the monsoons.
