What say you: over 300 dead & 700 injured in Isreali strikes on Gaza (Palestine)

Early yesterday (December27 - 2008)Israel dropped tons of bombs on Gaza claiming to be attacking Hamas strongholds. Some say that in order for this heartless group punishment/murder to end Hamas must stop attacking Israel.
Personally i think that is rubbish because Hamas attacks in retaliation to attacks made on Gaza. This has been a 6 month plan in the works according to many news stations. This strike campaign is said to last anywhere from days to weeks.
What say you about this??

I think this is not a fair one there are different ways by which peace can be resolved between two countries.Israel must stop this barbaric act and resume the cease fire talks between the two.The UNO must act strictly against to resolve the peace process because many innocent people are dying.

They don't want a cease-fire they just want to continue killing without any fear of consequences... and by the way many stopped considering this just military campaign of sorts rather more of a massacre.
