this team never fail to amaze me. strong home grown players. fearless dragon slaying culture. buys players to fit the fast pace win, win, strategy. fear no bear. i love arsenal. i think the best football club ever. what do you think?

take a look at the results over the years, the entertainment by just watching the team play--just knowing you can never write them off no matter which club they are up against--look at other premiere league budgets and compare results over the years.

Arsenal seem to be one of the 'bigger' clubs who look somewhat out of sorts this season. I think it's been a gradual decline, but i'm sure they'll return to their potential again.
If you look at the past decade you can't really class Arsenal as having a homegrown contingent when most of the players have been foreign.
Club by club West Ham tend to consistently have the greatest number of home grown players on their books and over the years have produced some quality players whether they have moved on since or the likes of Collison, Noble and Sears who remain.
From a dragon slaying perspective as well, if we consider that Arsenal are one of the big four, it would seem that beating the likes of United is like beating a similar team. I consider dragonslayers as the teams who are outside that level and are underdogs in such matches.
All that aside from a competitive point of view i hope that they pick up to keep the league title interesting and involving more clubs.

i used to like arsenal previously during the Henry, Pires, Bergkamp, Vieira era and i think they really played attractive attacking football and their games were always high scoring with lots of action. However, in recent years esp in the last 2 years, we can see a very young arsenal team with plenty of young players and some team discipline problems too. Their football is no longer free flowing or attack oriented and this may be due to the inexperiences of some players like sagna(i dun think he is good enough for the team), diaby (who always got himself a yellow card in each game whenever he starts), vela(player with potential but still young, walcott(really explosive and tricky player) and they are depending a lot on Fabregas. Their strikers are also not deadly at the moment with Adebayor and Van Persie misfiring and not really considered as world class. That explain why they are currently 5th in the league and level on 4th place with Villa but having played a game more. I think they are too far behind for the title now and maybe this team will mature and play better in 2-3 years time. But i think Wenger still need a quality central midfielder and a deadly striker

Arsenal has been a very entertaining team to watch and alongside barca id say the most swift and pleasing on the eye. the only problem I feel plaguing Arsenal is mental stregnth and when the players can toughen up and maintain some ruthlessnessif you will, then Im sure they can secure some silverware, otherwise we will continue being entertained and the Cabinets up at the Emirates will remain empty
