Does choosing a best response help you earn?

I saw the best message part and was wondering if anyone knew if you chose someone's respons as the best what would happen. Do you get paid to choose? Do they get paid for being chosen? Or is it both or neither? Like many people here I am still trying to figure out the earnings part. I have only started a couple discussions and I'm sure I will choose best answers but I also don't know how long, if at all, you have to choose. Can anyone shed a little light on this? And while I'm asking, what about the rating part of the discussions? If someone picks the positive, what does that do for you or them? I am just very curious about how this site works exactly and I like to ask a lot of questions, which is what brought me here to begin with.

There is no information in the FAQs on whether or not giving a Best Response affects earnings. I suspect (from personal experience) that earning a Best Response does make a difference. I don't believe that giving one does. The Discussion Rating System ('+' and '-') is definitely factored into the earnings system. It says as much in the FAQs. All the questions you ever could (or should) ask about MyLot are covered in full in the FAQs. Please read those and the Guidelines, so that you have no need to ask questions which are 'Frequently Asked'!

Thanks for the info. Although I don't know how often people use the rating system.
