My point of view is that Israel has had enough of bombs being lobbed at them by Hamas. They have warned them several times and have reached the point where they are firing back. It's terrible that innocent people are being hurt by this but Hamas are the cowards who hide among the population while they attack their neighbor.

you don't find that israel has exaggerated a little bit by attacking civilians and i mean especially schools...

What is Israel supposed to do...let Hamas continue to bomb them forever? They have warned them repeatedly...they did not return fire immediately. It's not Israel's fault that Hamas chooses to hide among the population like cowards while they carry out military operations. The Palestinian people should rise up against Hamas and boot them out of the area...then they would be safe...but the people are poor and Hamas gives them the things that they need so they let them remain in control. It's a bad situation but the key player....and the cause of the destruction of these schools and other civilian buildings is not Israel...it his Hamas. They are the ones who don't care about the people they claim to want to help.

I think it's devastating for Israel to be killing so many people when the rockets that Hamas sent killed so few. But I also know that Hamas MUST have seen this strike coming, and by not stopping their stupid little rockets that were doing very little damage they were putting all of the people of Gaza at risk.

I think that it's obvious that Hamas stands no chance against Israel - at least not without the support of other Muslim countries. Perhaps they did this because they wanted Israel to strike them so they could get their neighbors to send them armies and weapons. I don't know. It all just seems ridiculous to me, because even if they get their weapons and armies, it will just cause other countries with even more powerful militaries to join in with Israel. There is no hope for Gaza as long as Hamas is there. There needs to be peace efforts and Hamas is not willing to compromise their agendas for anything.

Agreed, I just have to wonder how long people will let Hamas keep playing this stupid little game that gets people killed. If they stopped attacking Israel, Israel would have no reason to counterattack and there would be peace. Simple as that.

I think this is the logical outcome to granting a terrorist group governmental powers and authorities. Hamas is nothing but a bunch of gang bangers, Palistine has no other motive in its existence than to exterminate Jews. Why we see them any different than we saw the Nazis is beyond me.

i can answer you about "Why we see them any different than we saw the Nazis is beyond me."
first of all israel was build after the second world war at that time there was Palestinians there,
i think that normally the responsible of the world war is germany and the one who should be punished about the world war is normally germany by instead of building israel in Palestine, they should create it in germany
I am not Palestinian but i am logical, and i am not antisemitic, because the majority of my friends are jews

First of all, I hate violence and killing no matter what but I know it will always exist no matter how I feel about it. I also think it's horrible for anyone to bomb somewhere where they know they're going to kill and injure innocent civilians and especially children. However, I don't see how Israel was left with any choice other than to retaliate. I wish these people could learn to live together in peace but I guess that's little more than a pipe dream.

I think it's about time Israel stopped with the tough rhetoric and attempted appeasment efforts toward those who are clearly intent on killing them. Kudos to them for finally defending themselves against unprovoked agression by Hamas.

I don't live in that region, but from what I have heard on the news Hamas has violated the truce between them several times. Israel did warn then last week that if they persist there would be retaliation, but they still kept on killing Israeli citizens.
So, in my uneducated opinion, Israel has the right to defend herself.
I just wish all nations would learn to compromise and get along with each other instead of turning to war to solve every problem.
