My son got a box of Lego for Christmas and today I have helped build a friction run racing car, a house, a spaceship and some people. I had forgottrn how much fun it was. Have you ever played with Lego, can you remember what you last built? Or do I just need to grow up LOL. Huggles. Ellie :D

Hi my friend Ellie. Last night my phone rang and there wasn't a chair near my phone. So I sat down on my toddler's play mat and during the long conversation I built things out of his Lego! I built a little house and thought it would be a great idea for me to buy him some more Lego bricks. Maxine.

Hi again Ellie. See you are not the only building stuff out of Lego. It must have been funny when you sat in your bath playing with your son's water toy and the ceiling must have got wet. As a teacher I can get away with having a teddy bear picnic every so often. Maxine

Hi Winterose, Didn't your son even have Lego as a child and play with it? Didn't you put just a couple of pieces together it is so much fun. You are very good with your mind and your writing though so we all excel in differnet areas. A very happy 2009 to you, a year of positive changes. Huggles. Ellie :D

Lego is superb stuff! We have a completely floored loft in this rented house, and it's my eldest son's domain. He has a mattress up there to sit on, and more lego than I imagined was possible! He disappears up there for hours on end, just coming down to the kitchen occassionally to show me his latest creation.
I'll be honest though, it's very rarely that you'll find me up there playing Lego with him. It's not heated up there, and at the moment it's the same temperature as outside. It's not my idea of fun to freeze my fingers off!!

Hi GreenMoo, It is very cold here too at the moment so I can understand why you don't venture up there LOL. It is great that the lego keeps your son so occupied, I am going to get my son some more for his birthday as he really seems into it. Huggles. Ellie :D

Hi Tess, me grow up, my nan was still a big kid in her eighties and I am just so like her, I really can't see it myself LOL. Ouuch yes they do hurt when trodden on in bare feet, done that one the other day. I still gigle at you chasing Norah through the house for your smiley face and that was playing that was her playing LOL so I can imagine some of the real games. I am not too good with playdoh but we do have something called moonsand which is a mixture between sand and playdoh and less messy and doesn't dry out if left out, you'd love it. Huggles. Ellie :D

Hi Ellie.
Legos are so much fun, aren't they? My son always enjoyed them. So, I'm estimating that the last time I built something with Legos was about 26 years ago. And, I don't remember what I built, but we did make many things with them. Glad you and you son enjoyed Christmas. Have a great New Year also. Take care. Huggles.

Hi PearlGrace, Oh it we thoroughly enjoyed Christmas, it was filled with so much fun and laughter and mummy helping build things. Hope you had a lovely time too. I think before this Lego build mine must have been about 15 years ago when the girls were little but the bigger bricks as I don't think they ever had lego. Huggles. Ellie :D

I haven't played with Legos since my daughter was a kidlet. She's 44. I also played with Legos or maybe it was Tinker Toys when I was a kidlet. It sure was fun.

I haven't built with Lego in years. My big brother loved Lego when we were kids and was always building things with it. It was one of the toys that could never get thrown away. I remember when my parents were in living in Germany, we went to visit Lego Land which was fantastic, I loved it. there was so much to do, I really recommend it especially if your son is a fan of Lego, though you may want to go to Lego Land Windsor, it alot closer!!! lol
Glad you enjoyed your son's present aswell as he did. I think its nice when parents help their children build things like this as its not often many parents sit down and play/ spend time with their children!!

Hi Cinderella, I think I will chose to go to Legoland Windsor, remember many trips there as a child when it was the Safari Park and come from Surrey originally so could stay with friends after the visit. I was pleased with the car I built as it did actually brrrm along he he., Huggles. Ellie :D

Hi ellie! I have not seen a set of Legos in years! I would
love to have played with you two! I'll bet that was so much
fun! I'm sure they don't look anything like I remember either!
They were always such fun to build things with! I wouldn't
mind getting a set of my own now! It would give me something
to do with my hands instead of eating junk food!lol You have
to take another picture of the creations that you build so
that Auntie Opal can see them and see what I am missing!
Did Ziggy help?

Hi Opal, Ziggy is banned when we are constructing as he steals the bricks and he could choke on them, still so naughty, but my son and I have lots of fun wih it. As Tessa says Lego is the same as it ever was only you can can extra bits to make things really work. I don't want to go back to work next week I am having too much fun at home. I will take a pic of our next creation. Huggles. Ellie :D

Oh, how fun. I do remember having only one box of Lego. They have much more now, but I was happy to be creative with simple blocks.
Last time I played with Lego?
Few weeks ago with my friends son...

Not too long ago. My granddaughter has some....one night we were building a train and a plane.....this was when she was two....well we got that plane built and she looked at me and said.....don't do it grandma...then she hit me over the head with it! I was so shocked. We have played since...but she got a time out for that one and she is now very careful on what she does with her lego plane! LOL
