A loving father

My father is going to turn 59 early next year. He's a little bit taller than me and have a quite huge tummy. I always reminded him not to eat too much and watch his eating habit. He loves meat. He didn't do much exercise. So generally, I always worry with his health though he has none now. The thing that you you should know about my father is that he's a very loving father. Ever since my mother died, he's my mother. He cooked, he listen to our stories, he talks and he looked after his granddaughters better than my husband. But he didn't do the laundry and house cleaning very well. But it's no problem for me. I didn't stay with him anymore since I got married. Sometimes, I slept over at his house with my daughters. Why this becomes the thing? Because not all fathers are like him. Most of fathers are cold. They don't talk much, they don't cook, they don't seem to be well with children, etc. How about your father?

Even though my father and I rarely talked when I was growing up I knew he cared for my siblings and I. He was a major bread winner. No one is perfect in this world. I never resented what he did or did not do. He was busy, and he needed time to rest and be by himself. My father was responsible in introducing me to the world of books. We did not have much material wealth, but we had a lot of reading material. He passed away 4 years ago. all the best, rosdimy

I'm sorry for your loss. It's very nice of him to introduce you to the books and understand your father's time. Fortunately my father loves books too. He is now introducing it to her granddaughters =). My family is not also materially rich but I can guarantee that we are not knowledgely poor because we read. You should introduce reading to your children too, rosdimy. God bless you.

I akready have. We are members of the National Library. The youngest cannot read yet but he loves turning the pages and look at the pictures. Knowledge is important and most of my children realise this.

I want to encourage my daughters to read too. The oldest turns 3 this February. My father bought her lots of books though she can't read yet. She shows her interest in reading. She often pull me out of everything and making me read with her. Thank you for sharing this with me.

My father is very polite and soft spoken person. He loves us and mom so well. I take him as my role model.
