hello prabhusanges
Whenever we indulge in any activity that need us to remain focused with our gaze, the extra ocular muscles get tired after sometime. The fatigue in the muscles induces the headache, typically manifested early as brow pain . Not only reading but sitting in front of my pc for long time gives me some bad episodes of headache. To avoid this i think we should take some yime off to allow the muscles to relax in between the job.Thank you for starting th discussion.
Have a nice time at mylot.

I do not think reading should cause headache. However, from long time reading, especially in dim light, your eyes may get tired, and in turn the nerves. Always keep in proper position and with fresh air, reading should be fun and enjoyable.

I guess reading can cause headache if you are stressing your eyes too much. Like for example, if you were advised to wear glasses and read without it, it can cause headache. Also, reading inside the car or not enough light in the room will also cause headache.
I would advise that you wear glasses or make your fonts bigger in your computer while reading to avoid this.

Reading cause head ache only if:
a. A person read too much.
b. There is not an appropriate lightening in the room.
c. Person`s eyes have lost their strengths and person need to get eye-glasses.

I get headaches frequently so its hard to tell. I generally just go about whatever I was doing and take some aspirin. Sometimes I read for hours on end and am alright with it. I also get headaches while reading or before I start reading. Everything should be done in moderation. Reading is great, sometimes its heard to put a book down, but maybe Dave should read for X amount of time, rest his eyes for a few, and read for another X amount of time and repeat. Or take some aspirin before a long read.
It's always good to take break, though.
