How close are you with your sister?

I have one sister whom I am very close to. From the time we were little girls up to now, we are still together. Even now that she has a family of her own, we always go together; shopping, doing things. We also work together in a tutorial center. People often tell us how we do it without quarreling because most of the people I know aren't that close to their sisters. They say that we are like friends. We do quarrel but very, very rarely. We treat each other like friends and we share the same likes and dislikes. Our opinions too are the same and people often tell us that we are twins but we aren't. Do you have a sister whom you are very close with? Tell us about your closeness.

I have two sisters, but one in particular has been one of my best friends since we were really little. Back when we shared a room, played barbies for hours, made mac-n-cheese, and when she was the funnies person I ever new... Now, obviously things have changed. She still brings out her silly side, but not as often...we still never fight, but I wish we were closer like we were then.

Things do change either for the better or for the worse. Maybe your sister has her own friends now and she doesn't need your company. Young women need a space of their own and sometimes there are mood swings that is difficult to adjust to.

As people mature people change and that was what happened to you and your sister. Try going out more often with your sister and you will soon get more closer to each other.

I wish i had the same closeness as you had with your sister. i have one sister but we are not close neither two of my brothers. Well i was kinda aloof with them when i was younger and i grew up with grand parents. So maybe its one factor that i was not that close to them. We are not the typical sisters that shares secrets and thats what i really us to be like close friends. Well we are all grown up now and my sister has its own family now but at least now we can talk and shares at least a bit compared before. I think maturity helps somehow but if there's a chance to go backwards i wish that we are very close.

I have one sister and we aren't that close. We used to be closer though. Then she married this dependent jerk. He wants all her attention. He rarely lets her go anywhere without him. If she tries to he will whine and pout till he gets his way. I can't remember the last time I have done something with just her. We were going to take our kids to get their pictures done as a mother daughter thing with our mom but he had to horn in and go too. I'm going to start working with my sister this weekend though so hopefully we can get closer that way.

Your sister has a family of her own and she has the choice if she wants to go with you or her husband. But the way I see it, the man is very selfish and wants your sister on his own. I hope things will get better and you will get closer to your sister. It's nice to do things together with a sister.

From the time I was in my early 20's I was close to my two younger sisters but I hadn't been before that time since they are 5 & 7 years younger than I am so, until they hit their teens, they were pests. Sometime around my 30's I moved out of the area and am now living 1,000 miles away from them but we stay in touch and they go out of their way to spend time with me when I go back up north to visit.

Young people tend to be troublesome but as they grow they mature and do things differently from when they were little kids. Now you are enjoying with your sisters because they have outgrown their being babies.

It's hard to be close to your sister when she isn't living near you but you should take time to be with her once in a while as sisters should be.

My sister and me are so close that we do not need another good or best friend in our lives to share things. We share everything. Food, clothes, thoughts, secrets, and everything. We talk to each other up to midnight, or sometimes 2 at the morning. Having a sister is just great. A sister can be your best friend, if you talk to her and get close to her.

To tell you the truth,my sister was my worst enemy when we were kids. She loved me,no doubt, but she's 6 years older and I'm the youngest so she thought I was hogging up all the attention from my parents. She was also a "difficult" teenager while me and my brother were relatively easy. We'd fight, call each other names and I always had to do all sorts of stuff for her! She was actually right,it was my turn to do the dishes etc but it was her attitude that made me feel like her servant. Things have changed now, can't say we're best friends but we love each other and there is a certain bond between us. Not just because we're relatives but because we turned out to be so similar! 10 years ago I would hate the very thought of being like my sister but now I can proudly say I can be just as mean and strong as she is! Neither of us is very emotional so we skip the hugs and kisses, however,I saw her cry the last time I left.

People do mature as they grow older and that's the time we change. You and your sister finally grew up and did what was right for sisters.

I have only one sister, she's ten years younger than me; I had to take care of her when she was born. We were very poor then, and my parents had to work. So she followed me everywhere, just like my baby. Now that we are married, we are still very close. In fact, we talk over the phone almost everyday, and visit each other at least once a week.

I am very close to my sister. Which we are twins.........but none the less we are best friends. We do just about everything together. We have been through alot with our family so it has only made our connection stronger. I would not trade our closeness for anything.

I am very close to my sisters, I am the older one and I have 2 sister who are twins. They look for me for suggestion, and advice. My daughter and my sister's daughter are also close like own sister they don't have cousin in their dictionary. I love my sisters. We all have plus and minus points on our likes and dislikes I suck up if my sisters do some thing I don't like. All that matters is I love my sisters.

Unfortunately, I wish I were closer to my little sisters, but given the age difference, it makes it difficult to relate to them. Today, now that they are all adults and are now experiencing many of the things that I have already gone through, we have grown a bit closer. I have to say it has been hard, being almost 7 years older than my sisters. Given that we live in different states, I do miss them terribly and wish I could share and spend more time with them.

well, as for me i have an elder sister and a younger sister not close to the elder, as a matter of fact we didnt grow up together so, no time for friendship, closeness and problems but the case is very different eith my younger sister, we grew up together and did everything almost together we buy same cloths, shoes and other things like eating together we school in thesame university and lots more but be that as it may, we both have our differences and disagreements when we were much younger, we fought alot due to the fact that we lacked understanding about each other. now we are grown-ups and know whats best for each other. i love her so so much and i dont know what will happen if or when we get married or have to live apart because i have gotten so used to her. pls if u dont love ur sister, have a re-think because a time is coming when u will have need of her but maybe by then she will be no where to be found. learn to love.

Hi There! I have 3 sisters and I can say that I am really close to them right now. Well, when we were kids, being the eldest, I was strict to them since I am the one who look after them so back then, we were not close, really... but when I reached college, I become a mature person... I learned to treat them as grown kids... since we are growing as well...hehehe... Until now, we are very very close with each other... I just can't see my life without them. I know someday we will have our own families but I want to make sure that I will spend my time with them... Happy New Year! And Happy Mylotting! Cheers!

I don't have any siblings. I do have a very good friend that I have known since I was fourteen or fifteen. Longer than any of my long standing friends. We call eachother 'Sis'. She is like a sister and the only one I will ever know. She is very dear to me and might as well be my biological sister. She lives in Dallas and I live in Idaho but when we talk on the phone it is like we have never been apart.

I have 2 sisters and a brother and I am close with all of them! But I would have to say that I am closest to my youngest sister! We live down the street from each other, and even though we both have husbands we still find time for us. We go to lunch together, we will go to one anothers homes and just hang out, we run up to target and shop together. She is the one who I call when I am worried about something or upset ....She is the one who I call when I am home and bored!! She is a great friend I love her sooo much!!! Shihtzumama

I have one sister who is 18 months elder than me, we used to have a good time together, since now we have both had our own families and we dont live in the same city, so it's not so often we see each other except for the new year's get-together.
