We missed the playoffs!

It's a looooooong off season for Pats fans like me. Since we got no one else to root for, and not much things to discuss, let's talk about what we need to upgrade for next season, so we can go back and win the SB.
I think first off we should trade Cassell, and get some fresh guys on D, it has been our biggest problem, specially this season. We need some fresh bodies on LBs, I hope we can get that Ruud guy from Tampa, he will be a great mlb in the Pats system. Then we need some corners. No one has really stepped in Assante Samuel's shoes after we let him go, so we need a very good cornerback to strike fear on the opposing QB's psyche. D line and the safety position are pretty solid, so we probably should just add depth to those positions.
In offense, I think we have a pretty darn good unit in there. I think it's time to get rid of Maroney, he has been injured every year since he was a rookie. Besides with Sammy Morris, Lamont Jordan, and Kevin Faulk in the line up, I think it's a pretty good bunch. Of course we definitely need Brady back to improve our chances next season.
Lest I forget, we MUST not let Scott Pioli go! ;o)

Yeah, that is one frustrating thing with the injury report...there are always conflicting stories.
The problem, though, could come if it seems Brady is doing well so they trade Cassel only to find that Brady is still in need of some recuperation.
I am not too concerned, though. The Pats have won more Super Bowls in the last 6 years than I ever expected to see in my lifetime. I can deal with a 'rebuilding' year or two. :)

Well if there is one thing this "LOST" season has reminded us Pats fans, it's that WE HAVE A GREAT COACH, arguably the BEST of the current crop of coaches. To that I reiterate what I've always believed in, "IN BILICHICK WE TRUST" :o).

There seems to be contradicting reports regarding Brady's recovery, and I'm not too sure which one to believe. One report says Brady is behind schedule on his recovery, and the other one says he is ahead of schedule. If the Pats trade Cassell, then it means Brady willbe ready for the season opener, if they tag Cassell, then it means Brady won't be ready for the season opener.

This is the first time I heard that the Patriots did not make the playoffs. I know there are a lot of better teams that usually are there that missed it this yr. It was a weird yr. for sure, and will be interesting to see who is in the Superbowl for sure. All I can say, is I am from Seattle and look how bad the Seahawks did, so your team is not the only one needing some New blood. At least we can only hope that next yr. will be better for us both. and hope that if we do some trades, it will be for the best as well.

This is actually the 2nd time in the Tom Brady era that we've missed the playoffs(we also missed it after we won our first SB). Yeah I'm hoping the Pats would get some new guys during the off season. Care to trade Lofa Tatupu for Matt Cassell??? Well I wish the Seahawks luck as well, and I hope the Walrus gives it another year. Cheers!
