i am a huge fan of john grisham and try to read all his books. so i got this book called 'the painted house'. almost all his books are generally about some huge action and legal cases which are very interesting. bu this book is totally not his style. it has a family who will be farming. they do it the whole book. there are very few points which are interesting. after i started the book.i finished it after one year. whenever i start, its boring and i put it down. i dont understand why john grisham wrote this book.

"the Painted House" was such a huge let down for me. i mean, seriously, it was so boring it took me more than a year to finish it. Just imagine the disappointment i got, coz i have just read "the brethren" by the same author before i started "the painted house". but anyway, for me, the most boring book i read was "true Believer" by nicholas sparks.. took me 2 years to finish it, all his books before true believer were good, it would only take me less than a day to finish one, but "true believer" gets my vote for the most boring book.

I haven't been able to read too much lately. But in high school I had to read War and Peace. I never was able to read it without falling asleep.zzzz I don't even remember if I finished it.

oh.. i heard it is a great book by Leo Tolstoy but dint read it till now.. i guess those great books cant be understood easily.. or maybe it was written according to the time of the author.. which is hard to compare with our times.. anyway.. keep reading.. happy new year..
