Recently, i just bought a book from ebay.. i did not received it, and its almost a month, and i tried to track it using the website the seller game, but it did not work. i even tried emailing the seller, and etc, but i did not get some respond..i was tired of emailing the seller, so i filed a dispute. After 3 days, i got a refund, without the seller even replying to my dispute. what do you make of this? the seller gave me a refund, without even resolving the problem. does he look guilty or something else? i do not know, all i know is got my money back without even hearing from the seller..

well since you got the refund, I don’t think the seller wanted to cheat you but maybe by the time you ordered, the seller was out of stock for that particular book. Maybe the seller tried to restock but could not yet, did not have the face to answer you and look stupid.

thanks for your response.. the seller has good books, but i am a not sure if i want to order there because of what happen. out of curiosity, i sent the seller an mail, asking still what's is wrong, and why the book is not shipped.. at last i got an reply (too late, thoug), the seller said, they ran out of books like that.. i am glad, i acted quickly, because if i just waited for the book to come, i had lost my money...

I am glad you got your $ back. It could be that the seller forgot to mail the book or didn't actually have the book in their possession so it was easier to refund. As for not letting you know what was going on or responding....that happens. Before bidding on an item I had emailed the guy with a question, which he answered the next day. After I won the item it took almost a month to get and he never responded to any of my emails. Finally one day here it came. I think people like the money they make from Ebay but don't realize that it is business and you must have everything boxed, weighed and ready to go for when it sells. My item came in a box with no packing and was filthy. He had a feedback of 07 and I wouldn't have bid but I needed that item and the price was right. The ultimate slap...he never left me feedback.

Yea if you don't receive the item & the seller doesn't respond generally eBay will side with you & they will refund you your money. It was probably eBay who refunded the money---that's the good thing with PayPal, they can just take it out of the seller's account(s) that are linked with PayPal.
As I've been on eBay since 1998 I know what sellers face, sometimes. For example, I know sellers have accidentally posted items twice on eBay (errors do happen) so perhaps that's what the seller did, but it IS rude that he didn't respond to your 3 emails!
Cheers, have a wonderful day on eBay & on myLot.

Hi cuttyrish! I am glad that you had a refund from the book you have bought from ebay. I believed that the seller had committed a mistake and just wants to avoid anymore hassle and maybe does not want to explain himself nor would want a further dispute for it would just end up putting him in a bad light. I am just glad that in the end, everything worked out just fine for you.
Take care dear friend! God Bless You Always! lovelots..faith210

the seller might have ran because of the seller fees that ebay brings on or had problems with the book. Be glad they refunded you because when that money gets spent out of the paypal account. you cant get a refund back. happens all the time. be happy you got your money back thats all i say.

I have had this happen to me once with a dress I bought. The seller was reputable too, had good feedback and lots of it, but I never received the item and when I went on the site it had gone!! Luckily ebay refunded me but it made me realise that sometimes I am going to get ripped off. At least you got a refund and the seller will get a black mark for failing to respond.
