I live in South Africa, a really beautiful country at the southern tip of one of the harshest continents in the world.
Life is good here, although things have got a lot harder over the past few years. I have thought about leaving, but haven't found the right opportunity.
There are many things wrong here, also many things are right - I suppose it's like that in all countries. There is no Utopia!
What do you like about your country?
What do you dislike about it?
Where would you live if you had the choice?

I live in a small town in Shanghai, China. As you know, Shanghai is a financial center in China with a lot of opportunites. Lots of people come to Shanghai from other regions and countries. It's energetic. But at the prosperous period recent years, the city is getting crowded. I don't like the noisy and poor traffic here. And the living cost here is high compared with my income. My life is just so so.

I've never really lived or been anywhere else. (I'm in VA in the United States)
I don't know if I would want to -live- somewhere else, but after I finish my degrees I would definitely love to travel some. :) I have a friend working towards his PhD and he's spent the past month vacationing/exploring Mayan ruins in Mexico, and I'm several different kinds of jealous.

I love history and visiting places like that is such a humbling experience. I would love to travel the world... :) just need the money!
I have heard of people who have sold up everything, bought a boat and just gone traveling! Maybe that's the best thing to do!

I don't know really why but I would love to live in Japan. There are simply so many things that I like and that have something to do with it. Even if I don't know the language. :/
Another option would be Germany. I have been there once and its a nice Country. At last as much as I have seen of it. And I know the language so that wouldn't be a problem but I probably would get bored of it after many years just like I am geting bored of this Country.
I'm now 21 and have been living in this Country my whole life. I like it and I have good friends and family there but I am simply getting tired of it. And its not the best place to make money. So going to another Country has become a even bigger option for me.
I have actually started to consider leaving this place a few years ago. But I still have to finish my studies which will take some time.
So far the only problem I can see is that I might not be able to actually find a place to stay at in another Country. And I have no idea as to how I could get a Job there to. :(
I can simply hope that I will be able to manage all this and that I will be able to get a good job/place to stay at in some other Country.
The only downside of leaving this place will be my Family and Friends. I really will miss them. And I start to feel bad when I am even thinking about leaving my Mother. I know that shes old enough to live alone but I simply don't want to leave her there alone. (I have no dad so she would be left alone there with perhaps a dog or a cat)
I could take my mother with me as she has told me that she might consider going to another Country to but I am not exactly sure how that would turn out because she doesn't really want to go to the same Country as I do.
God, why is life so complicated and hard? :x

I am not sure I would enjoy Japan. The language is a problem, also the complex culture. It is a beautiful country with interesting people though.
Germany is a good option, I would think, but the language might be a problem as well.
It is difficult leaving your family behind, but it is made easier nowadays because of the internet and communication like MSN, Skype, Facebook, MyLot etc.

Well, I'm from America. And a lot of people don't like America, but I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. I think a lot of people take the freedoms we have here in America for granted. We have a lot of freedoms that other countries don't have. And even though we're going through a recession right now, we're still better off than a lot of countries. If I was given the choice to live anywhere else, I'd still choose to live in America.

I have a friend who lives in California. He grew up in South Africa but left because of safety concerns. He has done really well and enjoys life in the US.
I would prefer to live in the 'First World' because I am in computer software and we are so far behind in technology here in many areas.

I live in the USA, and have lived in the US all of my life. I have actually had the pleasure to live in quite a few states, and visit quite a few states, but overall I enjoy where I am living now. For the most part I cannot really think of another place I would Love to live than where I live, so for now I will keep put as well.

At the moment i am in malaysia but i reside in saudi arabia basically. Saudi arabia is a good place for families. they can have peaceful life and mostly people dont interrupt you in anything. I have been born there and lived 20 years there. The best thing about saudi arabia is that its very to earn money there and people can survive easily. Patrol is soo cheap that anyone can afford it so relatively most things are cheap as well. Only the last two years there has been rise in the prices but still people can survive easily. The country is very strict so people dont usually do wrong things, there are crimes anyways. no country is free from that.
The bad thing is that social life there is not that good, for us who live there the life is fine but if an outsider comes to that country they will feel bored. Like there are no cinemas, no good public transportation, no clubs. Transportation service is poor because people can mostly afford cars so they dont spend alot on that. I think overall its a nice place to live, in my opinion its the best place for a newly married couple to live their own personal life peacefully.

I was born in a small town in South China. But now I am studying as a college student in Changsh a city far from my hometown.
There are some problems living in China.
1.The polution
As we know, China is in a rapid progress now. The industry is growing very fast. The developments have contrubute a lot to the country's economy. But at the same time, it also cause much problems, such as polution. In some big citys such as Guangzhou, Shanghai, Beijing, the air has been seriously polluted. And the condition of the pollution of the most rivers in China is much worse than the air pollution. I believe is has damaged people's health greatly and resulted in many disease.
2.The high cost of going to college, buying a house, seeing the doctor
In China, many familys, especially the traditional familys, would prefer to store most of their money in the bank. Because they dear not to spend much of their saving. The cost of a college student to go to university for study on year is about ?13,000, in cluding the school tuition and the living fee, which is almost the gross income of a comon family. That means a college student would cost almost all the income of his parents one year.
It costs about ?500,000 to ?1000,000 to buy a house in the big citys such as Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Beijing. That means many students can never be able to buy a house after the graduate form college.
It also cost much money to go to hospital if you have illness unfortunately. If you just have a fever, it will cost you about ?50 to ?100. But if you need an operation the price will jump to ?1,500 to ? 30,000.So it will be diffictul for a common family to live if they have a patient or more.
3.The political system.
I have nothing to say about the sensible topic
Actually, the are also many advantage living in China. For example, the scenery is beatiful.China have coutless tourist attractions all over the country, though they will also cost you coutsess money.

I live in Belgium. The country with the political problems (lol).
Well, I like living where I live now. It's very nice. The only thing I dislike is the traffic. There used to be nearly no traffic when we started to build our house. But when we went living here, the traffic was much higher... :(

I come from China, I live in Zhongshan. This is a beautiful place, known as the "green Zhongshan, Zhongshan warm." I like it because it is not only beautiful, bu it is also a relatively quiet and harmonious place. But one thing is bad: In order to develop the economy, pollution and destruction of more and more serious.I have never thought of leaving this place, because I still love it. I hope I have the ability to protect it, so that more of naturalizing!

I live in West Palm Beach Florida from the United States and i just love it here. The best thing here is the weather. You can literally go to the beach every day of the year. Right now the weather is like 75 degrees. For me just abt everything is accessible within a couple miles. The only thing i don't like sometimes is the rude snobby tourist on the beaches and snowbirds who can't physically drive but try to. I guess that's ok because they help our Florida economy. I hope you like South Afric and hope that you call it your home forever if that's what you believe

I've never been to a foreign country and I dreamed one day on my wedding i'd have the opptunity to go to one of the coutries i loved.
I live in China and it's so far so good as long as you can make a good earning, and i think it applies to every culture.
