will the attempt to create an artificial sun on earth be a success or failure?

I think you would have come to know about this creation .If not , have a look at the following and visualise today's world.
Scientists at the National Ignition Facility in Livermore are attempting to create an artificial sun on Earth- an achievement that will answer to the world's impending energy shortage.
For nearly 100 years the goal seemed impossible , but now the scientists believe that they are on the brink of cracking one of the biggest problems in physics by harnessing the power of nuclear fusion , the reaction that burns at the heart of the sun.
The attempt will be made by the researchers this spring. The team will try to ignite a tiny man made star inside a lab and trigger a thermonuclear reaction. Its goal is to generate temperatures of 100 million degree celsius and pressures billion times higher than those found anywhere else on earth, from a speck of fuel little bigger than a pinhead .
If the project is successful , the experiment will mark the first step towards building a practical nuclear fusion power station and a source of limitless energy.
MY IDEA: THIS PROJECT WILL BE A GRAND SUCCESS AND I PRAY TO GOD FOR THAT.
IF YOU COINCIDE WITH MY IDEA , THEN CHOOSE THE SUCCESS PERCENTAGE FROM BELOW
a) 100% b)90-100% c)80-90% d)

hi anandra...i don't know what to really think. my paranoid thot is it could go wrong and cause a lot of damage. we certainly need help with our energy so i hope it goes well and that we can benefit from it. time will tell.
