Of course it's controversial. It AIMS to be that way. Think of some of the greats. Howard Stern? Is he controversial? Of course. He also had a ton of listeners. What about the guy behind Playboy? Yep, controversial. There are topics that are always controversial too, such as politics and religion because of the chances of people being on extreme opposite sides.
I like South Park, I think the creators are a riot. I don't think it's that Trey and Matt 'don't care about anybody', they have many fans worldwide for having the guts to say things that should be said. Too many people go around too afraid of other people, too PC, and that is even worse than being blunt sometimes.

I think people need to remember what the orginal intention of television shows is: entertainment. I get tired of hearing people complain about this show and that show being so bad because of this and because of that. What you see on TV is for entertainment, if you don't like a certain show, simply don't watch it. There is no one show that is made for everyone, everyone has different tastes, so there are different shows for different target audiences, if you are not part of that audience then you simply aren't, watch something else. Nothing on television should be controversial. Some people complain about whats on TV because thier children might watch it, those people are lazy people who would rather the world change to fit thier needs rather then be ultimately responsible for what they let thier children watch on TV.
I think South Park is hilarious, and besides using a twisted sense of humor, there is nothing wrong with it at all to me. It is entertaining, that's all that matters.

I don't care what other people say about the show. All I know is I like watching it, period.

Trey and Matt really know how to use their rights of free speech and I simply admire them for that. But they don't just throw dirt on everything, they actually have a hidden morality in every aspect of their shows (beside parodying famous shows and events and TV culture).
And saying South Park is gay is the worst way of trying to offend the show :))

hi nwike...yes south park is very contoversial. some programs i think are too bad to watch. others there are things i don't like but other things that are extremely funny. when they're not saying bad things about people they do have a hilarious sense of humor.
