Hi Chevill,
I think people make promises and don't releasize some of those promises later on, are hard to fulfill. Some people talk before they think and just want to seem helpful at the time, but don't realize that their promise may mean a lot to the person they are making the promise to, and that person may feel extremely disappointed if they don't have their promise honored. Some people just like making themselves seem important at the time of the promise, than break it, because they did not have the means to fulfill it. It has a lot to do with the person making the promise, and what type of promise is being made.

hehe it's easier to make promises than fulfill it. I think it depends upon the person promising. If the person is someone who keep his words he'll surely fulfill promises. If the person however promise just to be away from responsibility or just to give in to other requests for sure he'll come up with excuses. To summarize however, people who can't fulfill there promises feel very sorry, These are the prople who really mean there promises but circumstances failed them. I remember my boss everytime asks me on how many house and lot I can sell for the month, say I answer 5 and I made 3 that's so good for me, you know what will my boss say, Bing, you're very promising, you're full of promises...

I think people who are making promises that they are going to break are not thinking because If you'd make a promise, you should know first what it will cause the two of you.

I guess people make promises because they wanted to fulfill that at the very moment they said it...yet chances are, nobody holds the circumstances that one encounters right after, leading to the many reasons to break the promise... I want to believe that all promises made are sincerely given hence we call them promises... nobody would want to give one just to intentionally break it anyway!... Maybe it's just the unexpected encounters that we people deal with that lead us to a change of plans and at times break what we have promised to do...

I don't know. I don't like to make a promise and break it. I will think about it before making any promises, to see whether I can uphold it. Sometimes people make promises to themselves and forget that they made such promises. I find this rather annoying. They need to be reminded of their promises, defeats the purpose, right?

Maybe its unintentional, there are some things that happens that is beyond their control that unables them to fulfill their promises. i dont think people broke their promises intentionally (unless you're on survivor :P). It always depends on the situation. :P
