The Cowboys were terrible yesterday against the Eagles. Wade Phillips should be held responsible for that humantarian distater that put the Cowboys organization back five years.

It is all about Jerry Jones. He hired him because he knows he will do what he tells him. He was the one that got TO and Pacman and called Marion Barber weak for not playing. I am not saying Wade is a great coach by any means but Jerry Jones got them in this mess. They have a lot of talented players but nothing that resembles a team.

Took the words right out of my mouth. Whether or not Wade is a good coach is one thing, but this late season collapse falls on the shoulders of Jerry Jones. This particular mess is his mess and his responsibility.

Dallas has a lot of talented players i just don't understand why they can't get it done. I know they are in a tough division and it may be hard to dominate. Wade Phillips is a pretty good coach and i do not fully blame him for the Dallas cowboys mess. Jerry Jones needs to think about the direction he wants his Dallas cowboys to head into. Taking T.O. and Pacman is not a good way to build teamwork in an organization. But hey im no Jerry Jones

You can say that it could be the coaches fault, but at the same time all he can do is call the plays. He can not be on the field executing the plays. So in a sense it is more of a teams fault. I mean can you honestly be wanting someone to get fired over someone elses mistakes? I know that would be like if your a supervisor at work and someone screws up then you get fired, but they keep the job wouldnt you be upset?

It is Jerry Jones fault in part because he has assembled a roster full of high-ticket athletes. Many of these players have given forth a lackluster effort, honestly to spit in the face of many players who put forth a great effort. Maybe you can blame this on Wade Phillips but when it comes down to it, a head coach in the NFL isn't going to give any player a heart. Wade Phillips is the most laid-back coach in the NFL, and it is no coincidence that his team is the most penalized. He says he is going to change his ways this off-season, but I wouldn't buy it. This is the downside to Wade Phillips as a head coach. He is a defensive guru but when it comes down to it his players lack discipline. He has spent many years as a defensive coordinator in this league and it seems that's where he should have stayed all along. Wade was never seen as a long-term answer in Dallas but more a short-term fix. He gelled quite well with this team in 2007 and it showed. But I think he has lost a little control over his team. He will be given a chance in 2009 to change his ways and to bring this team back, and with the amount of talent Dallas has, it is a good bet that they will bounce back. Jerry Jones will reassemble his roster to attempt to change the team's attitude and effort level. In the end, I see Wade Phillips tenure in Dallas over at the end of the 2009 season. Jerry Jones would like to turn to his long-term option, the young Jason Garrett.

I do not believe that coach Wade Phillips is the problem of the Dallas Cowboys, it is more-so they have lost their swagger, where the NFL has more talented players at every position. The game of football has evolved into a fast pace game where the most trained and skilled athletes dominate the game America has come to love.

Jerry Jones should be fired ASAP! To be honest, this is one dysfunctional team, and needs a strong character coach to motivate them. I think Wade is just too soft with his players, and that won't cut with players like TO(well no one really cuts with this guy lol), and Pacman Jones on the team. Besides I think it's time they let go of players like TO, and develop a more harmonious locker room than what they have right now. Cheers and Happy New Year!

I completely disagree with you on many aspects that you presume to be necessary to make the Dallas Cowboys a winning force in today's NFL game. How can you fire the owner of the team he has rights to? It is absurd to think that the Dallas Cowboys would be a dynasty that would last forever, this is why the NFL is a great medium. When it comes down to it - the players of today are much more conditioned than most of the players from the past. The fuss over Terrell Owens being a distraction to the Dallas Cowboys locker room is nothing but made up fantasy, Terrell Owens is a player that is willing to sacrifice everything to be the best at his position.

This is all Jerry Jones`s fault. He has run that into the ground with his micro management. Hell he should coach the team since he is calling all the shots. Better yet until he is gone they will never win another SuperBowl.
