Were you upset when all the horses died in Braveheart?

So, when I was watching Braveheart, way back when, I remember being much more upset over the scene where the horses impale themselves on the long spears than at any other part of the movie. Yes, even the part where his wife dies. Yes, even more than when Mel was getting disemboweled. What was the most intense part of Braveheart for you?

I didn't watch the film as I couldn't stand the idea of Mel gibson playing a scotsman with an american accent. Us brits are particular over our accents and I'm afraid that was the worst scottish one I had ever heard.
