New Years at Epcot

My friend and I have decided to go to Orlando for the Capital One Bowl to watch the Georgia vs. Michigan State game. We were looking at different things to do for New Years Eve since the game is on Jan. 1. Does anyone have any experience/suggestions for spending New Years in Orlando? Right now we are leaning towards going to Epcot. I have read mixed reviews online. It sounds like the crowds will almost make it miserable. Please let me know if you have gone for New Years before. Thanks!
