Do you like talking on the phone while driving?

I always feel horrible when I cross road and see the driver in the car is talking on the phone. I know myself- I can't handle more than 2 things together on my mind. Although I know there are people can do many things altogether at a time. But, who can, who can't! That's we don't know. Even the talking driver himself might not know if he can handle it or not, probably he can't but he thinks he can. I really hope drivers don't talk on the phone while driving. Do you agree with me?

No, I make it a point not to talk, while driving. If I happen to receive a call, when I am driving, I just disconnect the call or else if it appears to be urgent, I stop my vehicle on the road side and listen to the call, in brief. If I am in my car and my partner is sitting besides me, I just hand over my cell phone to her to take the call and apprise me of the latest position. I buy your agruments that people while driving should not take the call, else it may be risky and it may cause accidents. Good Post!

Thanks! I hope more and more driver behave just like you. Unfortunately, in my environment, the drivers are so blind at what they are doing.

hi, jfxrsch yes, i agree. driving really requires full concentration. i also do not like seeing people driving while talking on the phone. while driving, i can handle talking on the phone with the loudspeaker on. but only short conversations, like just answering one or two urgent questions and then bye-bye. happy new year!

A short conversation can extends to be longer :-) Try not to do it, after a while, your friends and families will get used to call you at better times :-) Stay safe! Happy New Year!

Nope jfxrsch, I don’t like to do that while driving. Just same as you, I couldn’t concentrate on my driving if I’m engrossed talking on my phone. It is always a high risk to do such silly thing and driving a car at the same time. I did see a driver gave wrong signal light in front of me few weeks back. Actually he wanted to turn to the opposite direction though he had shown a turning signal. Luckily that I didn’t over took his auto at that very moment. I could still see him talking on the phone while he made his turning. I wonder why there are still so many ignorance drivers keep on talking on the phone and are never aware of the safety of other road users. For the sake of the safety of every road user, I hope the authority concerned should set up a safety road rule to protect all the road users. The rule should be implemented compulsorily on all the drivers. Hopefully this could help to reduce the undesirable road hazard. posting and 2009!

yeah, everone out there don't talk on the phone while drving you cant hurt your self and hurt someone innocent ( or kill) i get scared to be honest when im crossing the road and the drivers talking on the phone i wait till the car fully stops. i,ve seen bare incedents where people getting hurt for what they dont deserve and police should fine the person aswell as putting them in gail well thats what i think wat about you?? have a great new year !

I guess most drivers know it's a dangerous thing to do. But when they need to talk, they just feel lucky at that moment.
