It depends on their relative ages. If the girl is 21 and the man is 35, there would be nothing wrong, provided, of course, that they loved each other and got on well. My mother was 13 years younger than my father and I have known many people who are very happy and have an age difference of even 20 years.
If the girl is 9 and the man 23, such as may sometimes happen with arranged marriages, then that is a very bad thing. Marriage is a contract between two individuals NOT a bargain between families for financial benefit. Both bride and groom should be adults and capable of deciding their own lives and of fit state of mind to understand and enter into such a contract.
