Flan, hmmmm sounds so yummy! I am looking forward to the New Year coming, I hope there will be many bright new changes for us all. We really need some positive uplifting changes.

Oh yes, I'm thrilled about this New Year's evening. Why? a) it's my youngest son birthday, he's making 4 and his joy is contagious b) this year the party is at my house, so I have to prepare everything c) I have a couple of friends I haven't seen for a long time and they here in Portugal tomorrow, so they'll attended our party As you can imagine, I am in heaven, lol Hope you have a wonderful New Year 2009.

hello katemeow, Yes, my family and I are so excited to welcome the new year. In fact we're all ready of the thirteen fruits and all other stuffs that they say are good luck for the coming year. Aside from that, we have also some fireworks and flute that we can use. Have some food to share for buena noche and the likes. We'll all welcome the New Year with high hope that it will be better for all of us. Let's all start the beginning of the year with big bang. Time to change for the better if not for the best. yes, every years I always excited when come to new year eve. Not because of the celebration, but because I am very curious bout what will happened once we step into the new year. I hope next year will bring a better conditions and situations. Happy New Year everybody. BR.b

no, i am not excited with the new year celebrations per se. it is what the new year holds for me and my children that i am looking forward to. i am expecting a better year by 2009, that is, at the financial level. there might be other good things coming up if all the things that i want to iron out next year will be carried out. the mango farm is seemingly giving me better hopes, the banana plantation will start to be yielding fruits at the second half of the year, my daughter might be starting to have a stable source of income also, my son hopefully will have to be able to establish the business that he has been hoping for all these past years and, best of all, my youngest son's health will continuously be improving. all will be moving for the better for all of us, members of the household. i know that the promise that the new year brings are not necessarily all assured of becoming true. but, come to think of it, katemeow, it can even get better. so i opt to hope for the best and work on its getting realized.

If you're asking about New Year's Eve, which is over now, no, that didn't excite me much. It was just me and my cats watching the ball drop...lol! I had some shrimp, which I had to share some with them, and I had some ice cream. I AM a bit excited about the new year ahead. I'm excited that we're going to have a new Administration with hopefully some new policies. I'm not naive enough to believe everything is going to be all roses but I at least feel some hope and optimism that I haven't had for a few years. Also, the past year or so has been pretty rough for me and my family so I'm very happy 2008 is over and we can maybe have a bit of a fresh start. I'm thinking it can't get much worse...lol! Oh, well now I am. Flan is one of my favorite excuses for eating. It is right up there with lemon mascarpone cake! What a great party that is going to be. I'm a little intimidated by 2009 because 2008 was such a great year for us, as was the year before and the year before that, so it is hard to imagine having another one that good in a row...we have to stay positive and not act like the other shoe is about to drop, if you know what I mean.

Well Kate, here we are not excited much to celebrate new year because of the massacre by terrorists in Mumbai. To pay respect to the deceased we pledged not to celebrate Christmas or new Year. Apart from that Hotel Association authorities have banned any such celebrations all over the country. We'll comply by their decision. Anyway Wish you a Very Happy New Year!

I guess I'm a little excited but I am quite nervous too! I love to listen to my daily horoscopes and they tell me that some great things are going to take place; I have no idea exactly what they are though! I hope that I'm not in for any nasty surprises. Yes, I am quite excited. I just prepared our dessert for tomorrow night, which is fruit salad, an it is the second time that I will be celebrating new year with my boyfriend. It is exciting because we will welcome 2009 together, it is the year which we waited for a long time because next year, we will be tying the knot already. The family gathering also makes me excited as we will have lots of food to share, games to play and fireworks to watch. It is indeed a happy event for me, a great way to welcome the new year.
