I often see 25 cents just scattered on the streets and I always pick them up. Is this how cheap Philippine money is? The 25 cents are just scattered everywhere and nobody cares to pick them up?
I feel bad seeing the 25 cents on the streets. I pick them up and put them in my purse then I include it to pay my fare. People must bear in mind that there would be no one peso without the 25 centavos. We must value our money and pick up the 25 centavo coins on the streets if we see one.

did you know that 25 cents is actually about 11.75 pesos? are you really able to pick PhP11.75 in the streets nowadays? you talk like there is much nationalism and patriotism in you yet you do not even know the real name of your monetary unit. in your string alone, you mentioned 25 cents 3 times and 25 centavos only twice. that's 60% for someone who is telling others to value money. now, isn't that odd?

I'm sorry that I made an error. It was supposed to be centavos and not cents. I made it a short cut. Sorry for the mistake.. We do make mistakes sometimes and it's good if someone notices it and reminds us. Thanks a lot and happy mylotting.

hey spoiled brat, to tell you honestly i don't have any aggressive tendencies under my skin. and if that is what you believe in, then perhaps you do justice to your nickname. as i've said, i just find it odd to find some people who can readily blurt out to the whole world something they profess to value. yet they themselves cannot distinguish the thin line between what is valuable and what is not. and please, do not lecture me on being chill! it definitely won't help masmasika if i didn't point this out to him/her. i would rather have people tell me my mistakes so i'd be able to correct them right away than have all lots of praises from people who'd rather keep mum about my mistakes. that is no way to develop a character.

You surely know the value of the money. Thats good. How much have You managed to collect with those 25 cents?
Maybe people don`t feel like taking that money because it used to belong to somebody and because they did not earn that money? Or it is too few so they don`t bother to lay their back down for those cents?

If you see it lying on the street,, of course you have to pick it up. That is money and it isn't good to see it just lying there. Cheers!!!

Well, there could be many reasons why people are not picking these up, but like others have already said.. Yours is a Great way of thinking. If you continue to pick those up, and set them aside they do add up. It could take awhile, but hey if you keep on adding them up maybe eventually you might be able to at least buy yourself a little something you might not have been able to afford before, and if that also helps you be able to get to work, etc. why should you complain about that one as well?

hi, masmasika. it seems that aside from your discussion, there also been a "serious discussion" too. i hope they are able to sort it out.
before, i believe in this beliefs that if ever you pick a 25 centavo coin or any coin as you walk, it means that someone put it there on purpose so that whatever bad karmas they have will be transferred to you. lol. it's funny, right? i got that from my dad.
then my mom, on the other hand, told me that once i encounter any coins in my way, for example, i found a one piso coin, i will pick it up and replace it with another coin higher in amount so that in my next road travel, the amount of the money found in the road will get higher and higher on the next travels. crazy, right? she said she got that idea from her mom. ahahaha!
today, whenever by chance i find a 25 centavo coin, i pick it up and put it in a container. so when the amount grows, i give it to the church.
happy new year to you and to your family. cheers! =)

I like how you really value your money and I must say you should keep doing what you're doing. From those litlle 25cents, it can make up to something big when you collect them altogether. ;)
