There's no such thing. There's online meeting, but the dating is still real world.
I don't see anything wrong with using a new media as a means of finding new people. That's what technology is all about--expanding our opportunities and increasing our interconnectivity.
Then again, I'm married. I didn't meet my wife online. I bought her from a catalog. Those were the old days, before these fangled internets took over! :-)

I agree with the possibility of it. But, fear about the practicality. But, anyway you can be best friends at times online.

I met my husband online and we have had a happy marriage ever since and now have a son! It is possible and does work. Just be careful that you do not meet any creeps.

I wouldn't be able to do online dating. I need to meet the person in real life not online and actually be able to see him daily and what not.

I met my husband online at a singles site called plentyoffish.com. We met and two months later got married. He is certainly my knight in shining armor and I couldn't ask for anything more.

I do not necessarily think that it is bad, but just as in person you must be very careful of who you decided to date, and make sure you know enough about that person to meet them. I also believe that the first meeting should be in a public place so that the other person has no idea where you live, and there are tons of people around to prevent injury then get to know each other from there, then you can become serious.

I once thought the idea a bit silly, but i was proven wrong lol.. My current boyfriend found me on Myspace lol.. how cliche is that. I'm glad he did though, he's an amazing guy.
