I am not aware of any ant-bite that is poisonous. It is very painful and leaves a burning sensation due to ingestion of Formic Acid, though. Leave it as it is and over a period of time, even if there is a swelling it will come down.

if you take a good research on this topic that you have come about, vasanthmbe, you will find out that the bite of the common ants are not that poisonous if at all.
however there are some species or kinds of ants which bite are quite fatal. i cannot go into details anymore as i do not have accurate memories as to how these ants are called. there is one type which emanates from africa. the bite is very deadly. you will need a doctor who is knowledgeable about these type of ants so he can secure for you the antidote from the right source.
don't worry about the common ants that we usually see around us. they are not that harmful. they bite us, we get a bulge which feels itchy, ignore it and it goes pffft after a few minutes.
