what would you think that when you had been invited to Christmas dinner and when you get there no oe answers the Dorr!? They had even called to see just when we would be there.
Ok we got to sons house all looked funny as usually they have the garage door open when we get there.
hmmmmm not open so we get all out of the car go around to front door . Grnad daughter ringing door bell we are knockeing and no one answers Something wrong here.
Well I used my cell phone to call them and asked are ya gonna open up? Son saiy not home be there in a few.
What why didnt wife stay home when they knew we were coming?
Well a few minutes later he drives up and says follow me so we did and he takes us a few blocks to this other house.
His new House yup had been in the building since June and they had moved in 3 weeks ago.
and not one word! What a big Christmas surprize!
Enjoyed a nice ham dinner too.

That is a nice surprise but I would have been a little upset when I got there and no one was home. I guess the surprise of the new house being done would have changed that all later. Hope you enjoyed the day with the family.

I loved hearing about the big "gottcha" your son pulled on the whole family. That was a good one alright. I don't know whether I could have kept a sock in my mouth that long without letting the house plans slip out.
Good to know they are settling in and happy with their new home.
Wishing you and your loved ones many good things...you certainly deserve them!
Big huggers!

What a nice surprise. I love it when people get creative about telling others things. My friend's Christmas presnt this year was an envelope from her 2 yr old grandaughter with a note that read "I'm gonna be a big sister in August". She loved it!

That would have been scary for me. To drive up and no one is there even though it had been verified that I was coming. I think he should have let his wife stay at there old house in a car since obviously it was no longer there. Then she could have told you to follow her and you still would have had the surprise of the new house. But it is a nice surprise for you to see their new place and eat the ham dinner there.
