I would be sure to carry 1. clothes 2. toothbrush & toothpaste 3. camera 4. plenty of money (or cards) 5. medicine you take (even tylenol)
I never go anywhere without those things, especially medicine for sickness that might come along while I am gone. One never knows when something might just cause you to be sick just like you are home.

I always carry my camera, a map, my guidebook, my notebook and my medicine. My camera is very important to me, because I always take lots of pictures. A map is also extremely important because I am pretty good at getting lost. I usually get lost even though I have a map, but that doesn't stop me from carrying one I love guidebooks, and I always like to read about the places where I am going, learn a bit of the language etc, so that is also indispensable. My notebook is another thing that I always carry. I want to write down my impression of the place where I am going and I want to write down what I have been doing, what I have seen etc. My medicine is also neccesary, because I have to take it every day.
