My most memorable new year was way back in 1996. I had gone to Puri (A beach town in Orrisa, India) on a holiday with my family. There we visited a variety of places. We visited spiritual places like Sun Temple of Konark and Jagannath temple. We visited a National Park famous for white tigers (I don't remember the name now). To watch the deadly animal from such close quarters was a thrilling experience. The beach at Puri and another place near Konark (again my memory fails me as I don't remember name of that beach) were awesome. On the eve of new year, we went to a hotel and participated in the activities there. I have never had such a satisfying (traveling and fun wise) new year till date and I still yearn to go back to the beach town of Puri.

My most memorable New Year's Eve was in Australia when I was age 21 on my trip around the world. I was with a group of friends celebrating in the tropical coastal town of Cairns. The weather was warm and so it was so different from a New Year at home. On New Year's Day we took a drive up to Crystal Cascades. We enjoy swimming in lots of cool water pool and bathing under refreshing waterfalls. I hope that you will go back to Puri one day. It must have been amazing for you to have seen the tigers in the national park. Yes, thinking back so long ago it is challenging the remember everything. Happy New Year.
