What do u think of those who talk on cell phone while driving. In my city the incidence is very frequent & the authorities take these things loosely.I think there should be strict norms about use of mobile phones about driving & the defaulters should be punished heavily. What is your view on this?

I agree that there should be a much heavier punishment to those who use their cellphone while driving. Even though some would say that it isn't affecting their driving, it actually does. Attending to other things while driving lowers your attention to the road thus increasing the risk of poor decision making and may result in an accident. It wouldn't hurt to pull over if it's a real important call. It all comes down to discipline and responsibility.

Sorry to hear that. It's to know that you're fine and nothing very serious happened. That driver should have been penalized! What happened afterward? Take care.

Yes you are right. Such people must be penalised heavily. Not only mobile users but one who drink and drive. They not only break the rules but bet others life as well. Why other innocent people suffer because of them. In my city so many accidental cases occurs due to these reasons. So to reduce it such people should be punished properly.

I live in California where it is now illegal to drive while using a cell phone unless you have a hands free device such as a blue tooth headset. Coming January 1st, there will be a new law that states that you cannot text while driving (this to me is a no-brainer). I agree with both of these laws because it makes driving for me much safer by forcing the drivers who don't pay attention on the road because of cellular use to concentrate on their surroundings.

Over here, if we are caught talking on the phone while driving, we will be fined. The authorities had been constantly reminding us of the dangers involved. However, I find that most people just don't abide by the law - even if they do not care about the authorities, they should at least think about how dangerous it could be.
