Recently i have been experiencing long and continuous dreams (different stories sometimes), and its making me sleep longer...even my alarm clock, can't wake me.. my dreams makes me sleep longer, and and sometimes i believe that its actually happening when i am sleeping (for example, i dream that i am in school studying, and i am not going to wake since i am in school already, etc).. i am worried, what if my dream is so nice, i will not wake up anymore.. have you experience this?

I don't think anyone can accurately say where dreams come from or what causes them, but sometimes it is a warning that something is wrong. So I understand, our bodies have a way of warning us that something is out of whack, but the symbolism is so complex, the real meaning flys right on by.
I read somewhere that even certain types of food can cause bad dreams. Even Freud didn't have all the answers, but if the waking up continues to be a problem, you should pay close attention to the causes.
The advice to take some vitamins may be well founded. Our bodies get run down and we don't always recognize the symtoms.

Hi There. It happened to me once or twice. It is like I want to wake up from a bad dream but I can't. I had "bangungot" (Sleep Paralysis) -- it is the feeling of having a hard time breathing from sleep and someone is dragging you away from being able to wake up... Thank Goodness, I was still able to wake up when having "bangungot". In our countries, there were reported cases that they never wake up when having a bad dream... But still glad that I am not experiencing that now... hope I will never will.
Goodluck! Thanks for the discussion! Happy New Year and Happy HOlidays! Cheers!

Sometimes, when I am having an afternoon nap, I find that it is really hard for me to wake up. I end up in this sort of semi-sleeping state and its like I am awake, trying really hard to be fully awake, but I can't actually get up as my body is still 'asleep'. I don't really like that feeling as during that time I am having strange dreams which to be honest I cannot tell if they are real or not at the time

This was an interesting story that You shared with us. I wish I could see dreams! I don`t. A long time ago I used to have dreams like Yours, but then they disappeared totally. And now: nothing.
You should not be afraid from staying in a sleep for too long. It simply is not possible. If You have a good dream, then You also know that it wont last forever. When you sleep too much, Your head gets an head ache and muscles feel weakness, so Your body starts to `move` away from a sleep and towards a waking up process. Thats when a good dream turns into a nightmare! And then: Good morning, I wanna go to school, where is my bag and where is my breakfast?
