Have you ever felt younger?
I always get taken to be allot younger than I am, but actually feel about 10 years younger. However, it's my body that always says, I am the age I am!
Currently I'm 60, but really....I "long" for the '60's, if you get my drift?
Looooove that rock 'n roll, man! I'm hip! (and a bit of a computer/gadgit geek too)
Gotta have my Mp3.
Do you get taken for younger, or feel younger?

i had my son at 17, so i am a young mom for him, but once i went to his parent teacher conference when he was in 2nd grade, and the minute i walked in his teacher said, r u his mom? i said yes, she said OMG, u look like your 12. Now that was a nice compliment for me, but i dont think she meant it to be nice lol!

I just turned 45 and I have gotten carded within the last year or so. If I'm with my son - he's 25 - and I have my hair in a ponytail, they think I'm his girlfriend and card us both. I USED to look younger all the time, but now it's just every now and then. I am older than both my sisters and everyone always think I'm the youngest. My sisters don't like that but I do! We're only a year apart each, so it's not that big a deal.

My sisters always joke that they'll NEVER be as old as me, but I just think, "Yeah, but you sure do look it!" I would never say that to them though!

I have had it happen a lot. I find it funny most of the time but a while back I had a man mistake me and my oldest son for a couple and my youngest son for "our" son. My oldest son is 17 and my youngest is 3, I'm 35. My oldest son nearly pitched a fit he was so embarrassed.

I'm 21 and get mistaken for 15-19 with no makeup on. It's semi annoying. I actually feel older than 21 because I've done a lot in my life and had a lot of drama.

Yes, I have been and it's a mixture of good and bad experiences. I can't deny that it's always flattering to be given a double take and asked "Really? You already have kids?! How old were you when you got married?!" especially when they find out my oldest is already a teenager. I normally have to admit I got married at 21 instead of letting them think I did the teenage pregnancy thing :p
One time, a young girl even mistook my husband to be my father! LOL And we are just the same age :p He's just older by 2 months.
My only gripe about looking younger than my age is that in my line of work (freelance writing), some of my interviewees (especially their secretaries when I try to set appointments) initially don't take me seriously and treat me as if I am a fresh-out-of-college nothing who don't know one end of my pen from the other! I am always tempted to lash back at them and say, "Hey, I've been professionally writing for more than 10 years now and I'm good at my job! Don't talk to me like I'm a moron!" I usually only get vindicated when the article comes out and they'd see that I know what I'm doing all along.

I turn 50 this year and think I look about 40. I'm more active than many of my younger friends and have loads more energy. I pop on my I-pod and take off jogging and can do almost 5 miles with good music. Rock is great, but I'm a bit younger than you, so 70's is more my music era. As I tell my friends, I may be growing old, but not growing up!

Until people at work ask me my age and I tell them I"m 33, they look at me in shock and tell me that they thought I was at least 24. I also have the reminder of feeling older from my body too. I hope they tell me this when I'm a lot older!
Happy New Year

I wish! I'm one of those that everyone guesses older. It could be the fact that I have 5 kids already, one of them is 11 years old. It could be that I act so much more mature. It could be that the man I married is already bald... and is about 6 years older than me.
When I was about 22 I was talking with a neighbor, and the subject of age came up. I told her how old I was and she was shocked, she said "I thought you were my age, like 32". Ouch!
Then when I was about 25 someone said to me "You don't look that old, I'd guess about 40" If that's not "that old" then what is?
This past summer we went to the fair, and there was one of those guys that guesses your weight, age, or birthday. For fun I decided to let him guess my age, I knew he'd get it wrong. I said to my friend before I went up to him "I bet he guesses 35" and he did.
I'm 28.

I dont know whether its right to quote but when we are kids we want to grow up fast and when we are little old we want to be young again...!
Yes, people often think of my age to be less than what it is, and I guess its because of looks and attitude both. It is absolutely about how old you think you are and thats what reflects. I think I would always be young in terms of energy and would keep maturing in my thoughts to act sensible! This way I guess one ends up making a good blend of personality.
Best Regards!

I am 20 years old and I still feel like a kid inside. I think no matter what age your kiddie side will always be there. Some of my mom's friends told me I look older than my age whereas other people will tell me I look young for my age. I don't know who to trust now. I think I look my age. ha!

I have that happen a lot and have most of my life. I'm going to be 60 this year and keep getting asked out by guys in their 40's lol. My Dr's joked about me having a good set of genes. I've only started going grey this past couple of years, mainly having one silver 'Elvira stripe' at my temple. When people do ask my age, I always tell them, I mean, you ARE what you are lol. They always comment 'But where's your wrinkles?!' For some reason I don't have crows feet or laugh lines. I've always felt younger than my actual age. And thinking about it, I think a lot of us that look younger have more active lifestyles, and haven't lost our sense of humor or having fun. Whatever we look like, we are enjoying life to it's fullest! (hahaha, I still listen to rock and roll too...there is no other way to dust & vaccuum the house than to good ole rock!)

Actually, not that I can recall. But I have been mistaken as being a little older. When I was 17 or 18 years old, for example, a woman thought I was twenty-three years old.

I have always been taken as younger than I actually I. Now I am 32 and I take it as a compliment when people think that I am in my early twenties, but I haven't always felt that way. When I was younger I used to get insulted when people thought that I was younger than my age. Once I went to a restaurant with my parents and my grandmother. The waiter looked at me and said. "We have a special price for children below 12" My parents laughed because they thought it was funny, but I was insulted. I was 18 and I didn't find it the least bit funny!

Its great that you feel younger and this probably has alot to do with you being accepted as being younger. I've heard them say on tv that 50 is the past 40, so I think women in general are not as "OLD" as once accepted when they get in their 50s and 60s . No I don't feel my age either, and I still love the old rock and roll music, etc...
When in my 30s , a guy thought I was my oldest child sister. She said he asked her if her sister (speaking of me) would go out with him. She said she didn't know but he'd have to ask her dad! LOL!
