Why most women close their eyes when being kissed?

I think it's just a natural instinct that when something comes close to your face you close your eyes to protect them.....I personally can't think of even trying to kiss without my eyes closed....that way your imagination kicks in too!

Guys close their eyes too. I think it's rude and awkward to have your eyes open when you're kissing. If it's just a peck then you don't have to close your eyes, but if it's passionate then it's only common courtesy to close your eyes.

Yeah, why is that...I'm curious too. My girlfriend always closes her eyes when we kiss.
