What is the Importance of Holding More Friends..

I do not believe in number of friends specially here on mylot. If number of friends here are quite huge, it does not mean that you are going to get lots of responses to your discussions. I believe that those who are in my friends' list here should be 'active' friends. I have added many friends, who are no more active or do not turn up in my discussions. I just do not want those friends, who are 'inactive'. A very happy new year to you too! dpk I am awaiting your response to my PM?

Hi Chennai, Well on mylot I feel it's important to have a good amount of friends because if you didn't have many mylot friends then you would only receive 0-3 response to your discussions when you create them because your friends see your discussions before anybody else does. But at the same time I think if you have more friends then you can manage then it can be too much for some people to handle. In my real life I'm surrounded by friends and family all the time, I almost have no privacy sometimes because of it..LOL.. But I'm pretty much use to it. Before my son was born I use to have at least 8-20 friends at my house every weekend. I have no where that amount now.. Now I have 2-5 now during the weekend or evenings( sometimes because I like quiet evenings half of the time.) I'm also picky what type of people I have around my son because he's autistic and sensitive to new people and I only like dear trusted friends around anymore. I agree,friends are wonderful gifts and I've had my friends for years.~Happy New Year!

first of all there is a lot of difference between real life friends and mylot's and other community friends.....everybody in site become friends to help each other in the work...but in real life friends helps you emotionally as well as mentally..... and regarding to the number of friends .....its not necessary to have huge number of friends.....you can have many friends but 1 or 2 will be totally loyal to you and thats what a person wants...so if you 1 friend who is loyal to you thats enough!!!

I'm newbie in mylot, hope you will be my 1st friend ^O^. Anyway Happy New Year to you too. As for friend, I do have a lot in real life. As for mylot friend, I do wish to have friends that can share thoughts and helping each other. But my concern is not about their activity, because as a friend we must understand that this kind of relationship can not be force. And of course without friends, this world will be very empty. And blessed for those has a close friend, means close can be as your parents, your kids, your husband or spouse, your relatives. Sometimes yes we do choosy about friends, we categorized them as group A maybe friends who are abundance with wealth? or group B by their kindness? or group C by their sharing same hobbies as you. And this is the nature about human. We born to choose ^O^ and to decide.

I don't have too many friends. I don't think I need a lot of friends to be happy. No one person has a hundred friends they can put all their trust in and expect the same trust back from them. I'm much happier having 1 true friend than a million fake ones. I have a lot of friends on myLot, but they're just online friends. I don't even think I've talked to them all, just added them as a friend!
