Do you have friends or the people around you jobless because of crises?

the crises is so horrible and make so many people laid off.I am working in a not very big coastal city and can also see people been laid off from big and famous companies.Have you heard of anybody you know or familiar with now jobless?Does the crises affect your life badly now?

The current crisis has not rendered anyone I know jobless. It has affected me negatively though. I currently work as a cook/restaurant supervisor. . . since I am only a supervisor I am not salaried. Due to the decline in spending due to the economy my hours dropped drastically!!
Several of my friends went from having full time jobs down to part time jobs. And the ocmpany my mother works for is getting ready to lay of a great number of employees. In which she fears she will be one of the ones who will be laid off.
